Strangle Hold

It may just be me, but are the Warriors in a strangle hold that can easily be avoided?? Think about it. Their 2 best players, Monta and Jax, have pretty much called out the coach, the GM, and the owner. Jax has gone public multiple times about his frustration and his want to be traded. Monta has not only bashed the drafting of Curry, but he has also refused to play with him. This is a horrible way to start the year. This situation can be avoided and used to help the teams future. By simply trading the players, the GM and the owners can show other players that they wont put up with with kind of crap. They could use these guys to clear cap space for the future, grab a good piece, maybe some future picks, and start rebuilding. They have some promising young pieces in Biedrins, Curry, Murrow, Randolph, and possibly Wright. They also have great vets in Maggette and Turiaf. Im sure there are some teams out there that would dive all over Jax and Monta.

What do you think the best possible solution is for the Warriors??

Personally, I think they should trade. I know NY is looking for a PG and Jax has said he wants to play there so could they be packaged together, maybe include a third team, and be traded to the Knicks??? Monta could be the PG of the future there and could help them this year, and also attract some of those good FAs in 2010. Jax could help them make a playoff run and then get out. He would help them free up space for next year. The Knicks could include Duhon, to start for a while, then move to backup Curry, Jarred Jefferies, to be used to trade again or just to let his contract expire, maybe some money, and maybe any picks they might have. Afterall, the Warriors arent going anywhere like they are now. Why not clear up space, get rid of the trash, and build through the draft? What do you think??

If you disagree, post an alternate solution.

Thanks!

I don't think Monta

I don't think Monta "refused" to play with Curry, he just said he didn't see them being succesful together which is a pretty big difference. As for trades, my feeling has always been do what is best for the franchise, not the players. Jax just signed that big extension like 1 year ago, how can he pull the strings on where he plays. They should keep their ears open for potential trades, but I wouldn't blow it up just becasue a couple guys are acting selfish. If anything, I would get rid of Nelson, I've never been a fan of his. He is always trying to do something gimmicky on offense. And now he doesn't even have the respect from his captain.

I was going to mention my

I was going to mention my hate for Nelson but I figured the post was long enough. If he was gone, I think it would change the whole problem. If there was a defensive minded coach in there, who would bring Curry off the bench as the 6th man, the Warriors could be really good. Jax is a great defender, Turriaf is a defensive player, Biedrens is a defensive player, Randolph could be and so could Ellis and Curry. I just think that since the team isnt going to be good for a while, why not get what you can for the guys that keep fussing about the organization. Just my opinion though.
