players on your favorite team that you didn't like
I was thinking about some of my favorite Ucla bruins over the years and then I thought, who were some of the Bruins I really didn't like. Trevor Ariza comes to mind. He was very selfish He shot every time he touched the ball and launched all kinds of crazy 3's despite shooting at around 19% on the season. It was clear he was just using UCLA as an audition for the NBA. He could have cared less about the team success as long as he got his. He left after one season despite not being ready for the NBA, and it actually helped the team for him to go.
So my question is, who are some guys who played for your favorite team that you really didn't like? This could be college or NBA.
travis outlaw. all the potentiol in the world and the basketball IQ of a rock. every now and then he will do something amazing and your left wondering if it is a sign of things to come? but the other 95% of the time im left screaming at him through my tv. he seems like a really nice guy and i hear he does alot for locker room chemistry but he makes me crazy
I'm not a blazer fan, but when I do watch them , I agree with you. Outlaw seems like a guy who has all-star potential but just leaves you wanting more. He can hit pull up shots from anywhere. But that might be more of a guy who frustrates you as a fan more so then someone you don't like and would prefer he was off the team.
he does some good things, he can create his own shot whenever he wants because he is tall and lanky and has crazy hops. but he seems to settle for fadaways alot of the time. he always seems like he is shooting off balence. all i want is for him to shoot less, drive the ball more, and can he PLEASE try to get a rebound. i cant decide if i want him gone or not. i dont want to give up on him because i keep hoping that he will put it all together but the longer he is on the court the more obvious it is that he doesnt fit with this team. the only way i want him on the court is if the blazers decide to play small ball with their 2nd unit and then he can play the pf. otherwise i want the minutes at small forward to go to developing batum and give some to webster that dude can shoot!( still hoping that outlaw can get it together but this might be his last chance) especially if websters foot is good to go
Samuel Dalembert. I admit, the season Iguodala was a rookie and Philly made the playoffs, I thought he was going to develop into a monster since he showed a better offensive game and even played strong down low. I thought he future was bright...I was wrong. I wish it was possible to give his
physical tools to a guy that's tough like DeJuan Blair, Hanbrough, Harangody etc...he plays soooo dumb and lethargic. He pretty much good for nothing to me. All he does is block shots, and he's been worse with that too! And he as a 60 million dollar contract! For what?!
if i remember correctly, i think you said you are a laker fan?
so out of curiosity, my question to you is... did you not like ariza when he was a laker too? because he was definitely a much different player than when he was a bruin.
No, my dislike for Trevor did not carry over at all when he joined the Lakers. I had nothing against him as a Laker. He competed and helped the team win. But as a Bruin, he was all in for himself. My favorite bruins were Earl Watson and Matt Barnes because they left it all on the court played tough and sacrificed for the team. Ariza was more concerned about showing off his skills regardless if it hurt the team.
And what's with your screen name, I don't even know how I'm supposed to prononce that.
un (like under) - azn (asian)- ized
im a Dallas fan and i hate Kidd and Damp. I hate Kidd because we got him past is prime and we had to give up Harris and now he's an all-star and he cant keep up with the young guards. I hate Damp because he has that high ass contact that Golden State gave him and has not i repeat has not done shit the whole time and we cant trade him because he hella weak wit a high ass contact so no one will touch him
I am a bulls fan and i dont like Jokiam Noah I think that he is very overrated and he is just a slightly better version of anderson varejo which i also dont like. He really doesnt do anything real well he doesnt have a consistent jumpshot he doesnt rebound consistently he is just there.
If your talking about players on this years roster that I don't like, I would say it would have to be : Brian Cardinal.
If your talking all-time: I would have to say Cherokee Parks.
As a Bulls fan, I hate Jerome James... He is pretty much useless for my team and he is not the type that will deliver for them every night especially when he is owned at least $7 Million dollars... $7 Million Dollars for just sitting and cheering of the bench... Thanks a lot Isiah!... On the positive side, his contract will expire so I don't think the Bulls will suffer for long but imgine the wste of money in what could have been a better way to spend it..
Pistons fan here. Towards the end of their run the Pistons were the biggest group or &$#%#&@!s and complainers in the league.
Every time they got touched Hamilton/Tayshaun/R. Wallace would throw their hands up in the air and say "Wheres the foul!!" or in Rasheed case "Where the F**k is the foul!!!"
It got so annoying and embarrassing.
well im not a big fan of Steve Blake hes hurt Odens career because he lets his man get by him and Oden has to guard him which leads to a lot of fouls and hes not a playmaker so he cant set up Oden for scores thats why i really like the Miller pickup.
u like sammy less than Willie "IM HORRIBLE" Green? Green has to go, hes a bum.. he lights it up maybe 3 times in 82 gm span, and hes just NOT GOOD..
I'm a Wake Forest alum and Jeff Teague really pissed me off. His attitude sucked. There really wasn't anyone in the ACC who could guard him, but he only showed up when he felt like it.
steve blake and anderson from the cavs cant spell his last name
Baron Davis and Ricky Davis last season for the Clippers. Baron Davis was out of shape and didn't play hard. Ricky Davis was a gun and thought he was still playing for the Cavs.
Over the Knicks recent tragic past...
.... John Starks
I thought Starks was well liked and respected by Knicks fans for his toughness willingness to take the big shots and that he didn't back down from anybody inlcuding Mike. I remember hearing Spike say something about Starks representing what NY basketball was all about.
John Starks is THE reason the Knicks didnt win a championship in 94. I will never forgive him for that.
yeah, I believe it was 1-17 right? I'll at least give him a little credit for not losing faith. Most guys whould have froze up at about 1-8 and would have never taken a 9th shot.
lol..i remeber that year..you could blame it on many players..there were plays before what starks did that hurt the team and if anyone of those plays fouls, bad shots didnt happen then they could have won
llperez 2-18 and 0-11 from three.... the game before he went 3-18, and 2-8 from three. Two close out games, for the championship.... and he choked. Hard...... If your the second option you cant do that. Ask mo williams.
Willie Green does his job. He makes spot ups, has the abilty to dribble drive pretty good, plays D, and he is good for a few explosive games every year. He doesnt suck to me that much, not really at all. He isnt a starter, but he's not going to have be anymore rotation player. Dalembert is overpaid, and all he does is block shots every once in a while and get easy rebounds. He's physically gifted, but what good does that do if you suck and havent gotten better?
ya bird dont get me started on blake. if he starts over miller ill lose it..
