Portland Houston trade
please post something instead of going around and giving negatives. explain....
this is one of the worst trade machine ideas i have ever seen houston would jump on this deal in a heart beat, battier is an again defender, scola plays the same postion as aldridge and barry is most likely to retire, houstons gets 2 first round picks and cash, while getting primium young talent this is so one sided its not even funny
Yea bro...Portland is very much slighted in this trade. I would jump this trade in a heartbeat if I was Houston. It's a poor deal man...
portland would have to be retarded to do this. scola plays the same position as alderidge who is soon to be lockd up for a long time. andi think alderidge becomes an allstar this year there is no need for scola. plus portland loses pryz which they cannont do yet with oden being a bit of a question mark his rebounding and defense is way too important. really the only players listed from portland id give up would be outlaw. rudy is a deep threat at all time and a fan favorite. he might leave in free agency anyways in a few years we should keep him as long as we can. and i think bayless is a potential top pg in the league if he can ever figure out how to run a team. he is phisically too gifted and his work ethic is insane. plus if the blazers get battier the sf gets clogged up we gota keep room for batum to keep getting better the kid has a chance to be one of the best defenders in the league. portland fans i bet if you as pritchard hed tell you that he built this team to win next year. the fact that we are good now is just a bonus we need to keep growing our young players for when the championship window opens.and you can keep brent barry..
Barry is done as a basketball player as far as I'm concerned. Battier and Scola are both very good, but they are also both role players who are getting up there in age. I don't see any way Portland would give up a key center, three promising young players in Outlaw and Bayless and Fernandez and two 1st rounders as well.
Take out Przybilla and one of the picks and I think you have a solid trade. Then it would be:
Portland get's Scola, Battier and Barry
Houston get's Fernandez, Outlaw, bayless and a 1st rounder.
In this scenario, Portland adds two solid tough minded veterans who are ready contribute immedaitely either off the becnh or as starters and they can both defend. They give up 3 solid players, but backups. As well as a 1st rounder that will be late in the draft.
Houston who might be rebuilding gets 3 young players who just need more minutes to and a pick. They will lose some defense, but that is where Ariza, Landry, and Hayes come into play.
took out the picks and cash. scola and battier are two very underrated players imo. portland has to cash in the young talent at some point fellas
The blazers gm will not give up a first round pick, this man lives off picks, and he would be more likely to deal outside the conference then to a western conference team, i agree that they need to cash in on the oung talent but i think they go for a star not B and C options
I put a new one up of scola + exception for outlaw and bayless
if portland is smart they will keep bayless
dont just take my point explain to me your thinking?
they lose all depth at shooting guard and center and Odne will have to play huge minutes and i think Batum is a lot like Battier they need Outlaw as a scorer and Scola is not the power forward they need their trying to get a powerful one. dont like it that much. (if you must know i didnt give you a negative).
