Takeover

We've all heard Jay-Z's song Takeover... If the Nets move to Brooklyn, get a new arena and get Lebron will the Knicks be on the brink of extinction?

Extinction!!! The knicks

Extinction!!! I mean kaput, bye-bye nobody goes to the games, Clippers of NY, no more NY Knicks, end of the franchise. If the Nets get Brooklyn, new Arena, and Lebron. That's my question, because at that point whoooo would want to see the knicks who have been bad a long time. But yes I mean will it be the end of the knicks?

Nah. I dont think they will

Nah. I dont think they will be the Clippers of NY. They will still have the same fans coming that used to. They will have seperate bulidings. I think they coexist. I also think that the Knicks need to get rid of D'Antoni if they ever plan to win a championship. D'Antoni would be better suited for an assistant job. He could teach his offence and work his players like he does, just let someone else run the team and the defence. Also, I dont think Lebron will go to the Nets or the Knicks. I think he will either suprise everyone with a crazy random team or he will stay at home.

If the Clippers weren't in

If the Clippers weren't in the Staples center they would be out of LA, they can not survive on their own. Also if those three things I listed happen, and the knicks dont make a crazy move I think they'd be on there way out so I think they better try really really hard not to let that happen.

If the Clippers were in

If the Clippers were in thier own bulilding, I think it would be different. Afterall, who wants to call a place home that they are bassically renting. Its like if you are a little girl with a really hot older sister. Yall both have parties all the time. People always are at hers because she has cooler friends and her own house. People come to yours just because they have nothing to do. Its kind of weird to go to yours because its at your sisters house. Oh, and you are not hot at all. People come to see you, hoping to see your sister get out of the shower.

They Clippers don't have

They Clippers don't have there own building because nobody would go to their games and it would be a waste of time building the building. They like the Lakers in LA and thats that, the Clippers are arguably the worse franchise in all of sports. But yeah that's where the knicks would be heading. How can they compete with a new arena, all the Nike dollars that would go into Lebron, and then the actual excitment of Lebron being in NYC all the time. I think quietly that's why the knicks are going so hard for lebron.

Nope

The Knicks have to large a following to just fall off the face of the earth. I think they will have to respond with an "ether."

"respond with an

"respond with an "ether"

that was real clever, Im Your Father

I doubt it, i think it will be similar to how NY views the Giants and Jets....it'll kind of be a split fanbase, 33.3% Knicks fans, 33.3% Nets fans, and 33.3% banwagoners that like whichever team is better at the time
