Eva & Adriana

As you all already know (i assume), TP @ the spurs has one of the finest woman in the world as her wife, in Eva Longoria. Her alone in the stands of the SBC centre generates so much buzz among the fans (regardless of which team they support), and as a result, draws further supporters to the game (mainly towards the spurs, of course). However, as i recently found out, Marko Jaric of the Grizzlies apparently wed Adriana Lima of the Victoria's Secret (i know right). I then wondered, what if Marko was traded to the Spurs, for this reason alone. Can you imagine the hyped-up proportions in which every Spurs home games would generate. Yes, it'd probably sound cruel to Marko that he was brought along to the Spurs simply for his voluptuous wife and not his "surprisingly versatile game" (can play 1-3, but no D), but surely he can't complain about the propects of an NBA championship. And of course, the possibility of a dynamic and sexy duo supporting among the stands of the SBC centre.

Proposterous

Seriously man? I know this has a little to do with basketball, but not much. You know, you can see many voluptuous women on the internet for free . I'm pretty sure high level execs making decisions regarding trades can hook up with pretty much any woman they want due to their fat wallets; they wouldn't care to have these women in the stands.

If we look at things through an economic eye:

marginal benefit of bringing in Marco Jaric: Potentially 30 more fans upgrading from cheap rafter seats to be closer to Lima. financial results: max $1000 in revenue.

Marginal Cost:
1. giving up anything to get Jaric
2. Giving a roster spot to someone who is a much worse version of Roger Mason Junior.
3. Potentially losing more games as compared to having someone of relative skill taking up that roster spot, hence dwindling their main fan base Men who watch the game for the action, not the accessories
4. MARCO JARIC MAKES 7 MILLION DOLLARS a YEAR. HE PLAYS LIKE A 1 MILLION DOLLAR PLAYER. NO WOMAN IN YOUR STANDS IS WORTH 6 MILLION DOLLARS PER SEASON FOR THE NEXT TWO SEASONS.

so, the marginal costs far outweigh the marginal benefits. No one with a degree in economics will allow any trade for Jaric to go down with the Spurs. No woman with some sense of pride will watch their husband sit on the bench or inactive list every game.

Really?

Do you really think there would be that much more hype? I think they might get a few more snippets on Sportscenter when showing Spurs highlights, but that's about it. Going along with this ridiculous post though...I would pick Lima hands down.
