The Heat claim that they are looking to add a point guard through a trade, not via free agency.
The Miami Herald has reported that the Heat have spoken to the Nets about both Rafer Alston and Keyon Dooling.
As of Wednesday nothing had materialized, but the door has been left open for further talks. Both Alston and Dooling have played for the Heat in the past
'Tractor' Traylor Could Face Prison Time
Robert "Tractor" Traylor could face prison time for allegedly breaking the terms of his probation from a 2007 tax conviction.
Traylor has been summoned to appear before U.S. District Judge Avern Cohn Sept. 14 after the probation department complained he had violated three terms of his probation, according to federal court records filed today.
Traylor hasn't paid more than $175,000 in taxes, interest and penalties he owes the Internal Revenue Service, has not set up a payment plan as ordered and has not filed his 2008 income tax returns, U.S. Probation Officer Shawn McElroy said in a report.
Jazz have been unable to make a deal for Carlos Boozer
For all the trade options the Jazz are believed to have explored involving Carlos Boozer, nothing has come to fruition, increasing the likelihood he will open the season in Utah. For his part, Sloan was asked about holding any hard feelings toward Boozer. "That's a part of basketball," Sloan said. "I could have had hard feelings with Karl Malone if I had wanted to a few times. My job is to coach whoever walks across this line. And that's all we do is do the best we can and hopefully be a good basketball team." -- Salt Lake Tribune .....Ben's Take: Sloan can write a book someday and tell us what he really thinks of players like Boozer. The Jazz shouldn't be surprised after the move Booz pulled on the Cavs.
I like Chalmers next to Wade, I hope whoever they get doesnt take too much playtime away from him..
Tractor Traylor would be that big guy in jail that would buy that ass for a pack of cigarettes...scary thought
I read bout Rafer, Good Luck to him.
You see his body fats right? That's worth 175,000 dollars of donuts!
