Wow...I can't believe what I am hearing.  Huge difference between the SEC/ACC Conference & the Western Athletic...as far as level of competition goes.  If Paul George was so good he should've lead that team to way more wins in that weak conference.  

Ok, here's the main thing

You love high potential guys. Anyone with high upside you like and you'll defend them to the end. Not a problem but I've been down this road before

Its not as big a dip as you think. The difference usually is the level of depth, UNC has 7 or 8 guys that are good players and deserve significant minutes while Fresno State has Paul George. You cant expect 1 talented guy to win a bunch of games. When has that ever happened? Thats why in the tourny there are upsets every year. Your comparing the team George plays for to the SEC's teams, when you should compare the SEC's SG/SF's to George.

Iguodala- I am comparing, Hopson is the starting SG/SF for Tennessee.  He is better than George no doubt.

To Be Honest...you take any dude off of a UCLA, Duke, UNC, Mississipi St any big school in a big conference and put them in a WCC school..they go nuts.

Hopson is simply the better overall player...I could care less what the mock draft says LOL  Watch what happens this season.

The level of competition has a ton to do with the players.

How you going to compare stats when George plays against much weaker comp than Hopson.  George also got significantly more playing time.  

All I am saying is this season will prove who is right ha.  It should be fun to see how George & Hopson play this year.

I just think a lot of people jumped on Georges bandwagon once that saw his name high in the mock draft.  

Thank you. I like George and saw him play some games (St.Mary's and Nevada) He had 0 points against Nevada...so he has some learning to do and he has some room for improvement.

Hopson does nothing as a player as good as George. The level of competition has an effect, but you cant get me to believe George couldnt have played for every single team in the SEC.But Hopson doesnt have anything skill as a player thats better than George. Plain and simple. He's just a better athlete.

Mike Beasley scored 5 pts against Xavier 2 yrs back, every player has a bad game. No matter who you are. Yes, he can improve but tell me who cant in college basketball? They would be pro's if they didnt need improvement in an area.

I wonder why George wasn't recruited by any of the major conferences? I'm not trying to be funny.  I'm serious, did he have bad grades or something?  I guess he could've just been simply overlooked.  He wasn't highly rated coming out of high school though from what I understand.  

His main 2 schools was Pepperdine and Fresno State

I read exactly what you said, and I say it again. Everybody has bad games, and every college player can improve in areas. That shouldnt lead you to say he is overhyped or not that good because he didnt have 1 good game.

dont forget when you mention all of these incomming freshman, that you say potenially better not better already because they can easily come in and pull a bj mullins or jru holiday,felipe lopez, josh mcrobers shavlick randolph chris burgess, marcus taylor,jarod ward..etc
