The Houston Rockets can be Champions

if we have the most magically magic luckyness ever.
So McGrady is way ahead of schedule according to Chron.com's Richard Justice and Yao is working so hard as usual that ruling him out the whole season would be foolish, but I know most are thinking, No one knows how good these two will be when they come back and if they rush back what if it gets worse or why would the team even let it happen. If McGrady comes in for the first game on, we know what he did the year Yao went out. 22 Game Winning Streak. :D Then he keeps us in contention throughout, during the last week of the season, Yao Ming is cleared to play...We play him, go to the Playoffs and they take us all the way! So optimistic sounding? Yes. I know. Plenty of things can go wrong and everything has to go right. Yao will be rusty, but still, a rusty Yao is probably an upgrade over Andersen anyways. Does anyone still think McGrady can be lazy, no passion, and selfish, yet be ahead of schedule by this much? Dude is coming back to prove everyone wrong and rightfully so with making the money he makes (Number 1 in the NBA). How far can these Rockets go with just McGrady? 2nd Round? 1st Round? Lottery still? No Playoffs? I figure I'll be getting some negatives, but I had to let it out. haha.

I love T-Mac more then

I love T-Mac more then everyone here.........but I can't say the Rocket's will even be a sure-fire playoff team this year with a straight face on

if we have the most magically magic luckyness ever.

well anyone can be Champs with that kinda season.

Yoa and T-Mac both healthy can make a run for sure..........but without 1 or both , they have no chance

I gave you a plus! lol, its good to be optimistic for your team...

But since thats only a dream, the best you should hope for is that your lottery pick turns into a stud

haha.

No other teams need this much luck though. No other team is going into the season without a legit number 1 option for their team missing and the number 2. I think they can be Champs with Yao and 'Mac healthy...but of course, they'd both have to give in about 18-25 Points a game, and the supporting cast is amazing. Battier, Ariza, Landry, Lowry, Andersen, Budinger, Brooks, and Hayes. I'm just an optimistic fan guys. I've been supporting 'Mac throughout this all. He is young! 30 years old! If injury free, he can have 3 more years of dominance, but who knows.

yes Magikknick, and it is very possible that it can turn out to be a stud.............they should go after Paul George, to play next to T-Mac .........or God-forbid replace him

The Rockets needs to

The Rockets needs to rebuild.

If McGrady looks good, trade him. I dont see him being Orlando McGrady ever again. So what ever you can get for him is good.

This year, you gotta see who's good and who can develop into a future Number 1....I dont see any.

lol.

Why rebuild?
Keep 'Mac, use the cap space to bring in another Star during 2010. Remember, highest paid Player in the NBA contract coming off the book? Resign Scola, and Lowry and whomever else needs to be resigned. Then, Yao comes back 2010-11 and if he can be the old Yao, great! Only will be 29 years old, or 30. There you go! Two stars and the supporting cast back with more and more expiernce and continue improving.Even if we are horrible. That just adds to us, Lottery Team! haha. Another potential stud to go along with the rest of the crew. Excuse my typos.

What are you bring Mac for?

What are you bring Mac for? He's not taking a big pay cut. Maybe he will take like 10-12 mil or even leave for another team.

Yao is not realiable, Brooks is a little overrated, Lowery is best off the bench, Scola is nice, Battier provides D but you now brought in Ariza.

I say, with the West aging a bit, go and rebuild a bit. Trade or Let T-mac go in 2010, Yao in 2011 and get some draft picks and some younger players

They dont have a chance to win a title with Grady and Yao

Huh?

The Plan would be to let T-Mac go and get someone else. No way Houston brings him back, I highly doubt it. The 2010 Class of Free Agency is loaded man. We can try to steal someone like Joe Johnson or Bosh and won't have to resign Scola. Yao isn't reliable? He played the whole season and 1st round. He is done with International Competition and Houston loves him. I doubt we let him leave, he'll be resigned. No doubt. We have young players, Brooks, Landry, Lowry, Ariza, Budinger. Battier can get Ariza to become his clone for our future. It would be foolish to rebuild when not nessecary. I never said resign McGrady. I said, use that fat paycheck he made in the Free Agency.

Heck.

I wouldn't be surprised if Morey started making calls to Golden State about Stephen Jackson, but I don't think we have much to offer them...and plus if 'Mac is back, then our 2 and 3 spot are solid. Just a thought.

I dunno, right now the 3rd

I dunno, right now the 3rd best team in Texas, playing opposite a hobbled Yao?
t
I dont see any FA wanting to go to Houston. (Not trying to rain on your parade) I think with the West being olld and you having some young pieces who can play (Brooks, Ariza, Landry, Budinger) you can let T-Mac walk and get a top 5-10 pick to give you a another young player like Paul George, Cole Aldrich, Derrick Favors or even a guy like John Wall to rebuild the franchise

To me, you cant win in the west, rebuild and try to add better players and go young like Portland
