Survey: 2009-2010 NBA season
Which team has the best PG/Center combination?
Magic with Jameer and Dwight but the Nets also have a great pg/c combo with Devin and Brook.
Small Forward/ Power Forward combination?
Pierce and Garnett or RJ and Duncan... of those four Duncan is the best player but RJ is the worst.
Backcourt?
Jameer and Vince might be better than Rajon Rondo and Ray Allen but if Ginobili is healthy then it's hands down Parker and Ginobili... Arenas and Caron (if he's a "2") can be amazing too.
What player is most due for a breakout season?
Marvin Williams, Josh Smith, Al Horford, Tyrus Thomas, Mike Conley, Andrea Bargnani, Yi Jianlian, and Greg Oden ALL have underachieved a lot so far but the winner is Andrew Bynum. He is coming into his 5th year and has the easiest cast of teammates to play solid with. He is mobile and all he has to do is rebound and play D but he can't even do that. For someone who was compared to be the western conference yang to Dwight Howard's ying, Bynum has a lot to prove and needs to do it soon.
Predict 3 players most likely to be MIP for 2010?
Courtney Lee, Brook Lopez, Ike Diogu
Who is more overrated: Hedo Turkoglu, Chauncey Billups, Rajon Rondo, or Brandon Roy?
Rondo by far
Who is more underrated: Vince Carter, Devin Harris, Caron Butler, Ben Gordon, or Kendrick Perkins?
Vince or Gordon. Vince was injured for a season and a half in Toronto and it has haunted his career since. No player in the NBA has played in more games over the last 5 seasons than Vince and no player has played more consistently. Gordon won a championship and is probably the best shooter in the league.
Which current NBA player's career has succeeded the most from his continuous supporting cast?
by far the majestic Kobe Bryant. If Vince or Wade played with Shaq, and all the Laker's role players in their prime, we would be talking about them instead.

I don't think you know how much B-Roy means to the Blazers...Yes, his stats aren't Kobe like...But their still very good.
Roy is one of the most clutch players in the NBA and one of the best leaders...Even Ron Artest said Roy is the best player he's ever guarded.
Stats don't mean everything...We all know he could average over 23 ppg if he wanted to.
Brandon Roy is one of the best players in the NBA,regardless off position. He is a top 7 player in the NBA because he is more than a scorer. He is a good defender, passer, ball handler, he's very clutch and he's one of the best leaders in basketball. He simply doesnt have a weak skill, the only thing thats not elite in his reportiore is he's isnt a freak athlete.
Kobe, Wade, Lebron, Duncan, Garnett, Amare *healthy, Dwight, Chris Paul, Paul Pierce, Nowitski
I would even say Durant is better.
Thats 11 hands down.
I would put Roy on the same level as Devin Harris, Steve Nash, Derrick Rose, Danny Granger and Vince Carter
HOW THE HELL CAN YOU PUT ROY ON THE SAME LEVEL AS DURANT? Roy LEAD his team to a very good seed in the West...What did Durant do? Hmm....let me think about that. Oh, put up great stats, BUT lose a bunch of games.
Amare is not better than Roy...Either is Pierce. Roy is top-10 always...You sound like a hater.
Ray Allen and Vince Carter are both better than Roy. Put either one on the current Blazers squad and you'd get the same results or maybe better. I think everyone forgot how good Ray Allen was when he was the #1 option on a team. And duh Garnett and Allen saved Pierce, his teams were absolutely horrifying, nothing compared the to the talented group the Blazers have.
Actually, they wouldn't...Ray is not as good as Roy. The ONLY thing he has on his Roy is a better jumper. Roy is stronger, a better ball handler, a better all-around scorer, a better passer...I could go on and on.
And B-Roy's stats were better than Vince last year, and their team was better...
Roy was second team...He lead a young team to a very good seed in the West. He puts up good stats and is very clutch.
You guys just sound like a bunch of haters...Lol if you switched Roy and Allen the Blazers would be a 7th-8th seed and the Celtics would have repeated last year.
I think BRoy is legitimately in the conversation for being a top 10 player... he's clutch, he's a good leader, he gets his teammates involved, he's an all-around player, not one-dimensional at all... I'd definitely take him over bosh.
Which team has the best PG/Center combination?
-------i'll take CP3-Okafor... I'm not that high on jameer, especially defensively
Small Forward/ Power Forward combination?
-------KG-Pierce... veterans who are committed to defense, and obviously provide tons of offense too
Backcourt?
-------Parker-Ginobili. The international duo gets the basket at will and they finish with the best of em... they've also won 3 championships?
What player is most due for a breakout season?
-----Anthony Randolph may blow up, but I think Courtney Lee is really going to shine in NJ
Predict 3 players in the running for MIP for 2010?
-------Randolph, Lee, (^^) George Hill
Who is more overrated: Hedo Turkoglu, Chauncey Billups, Rajon Rondo, or Brandon Roy?
--------Rajon or Hedo
Who is more underrated: Vince Carter, Devin Harris, Caron Butler, Ben Gordon, or Kendrick Perkins?
--------Caron, he gets almost no recognition
Which current NBA player's career has succeeded the most from his continuous supporting cast?
---------Kobe (what do u mean by continuos supporting cast? lol, just saw you also picked kobe, so yea i guess i get what u mean)
09/10 sleeper team to make playoffs?
---------OKC
09/10 sleeper team to win championship?
---------Nuggets
...Roy?
---------Flynn or Evans or Jennings (depends on sessions)
... MVP?
----------LBJ or DWade
... Defensive Player of the Year?
--------KG/Dwight/Artest (he might be able to focus even more on the defensive end this year)
Which team has the best PG/Center combination? Underrated but Rose and Noah
Small Forward/ Power Forward combination? Celtics- Pierce and Garnett
Backcourt? I like Miwaukee's if healthy- Jennings and Redd
What player is most due for a breakout season? Branden Wright
Predict 3 players in the running for MIP for 2010? JR Smith, Joe Alexander and Rodney Stuckey
Who is more overrated: Hedo Turkoglu, Chauncey Billups, Rajon Rondo, or Brandon Roy? Turkoglu
Who is more underrated: Vince Carter, Devin Harris, Caron Butler, Ben Gordon, or Kendrick Perkins? Perkins
Which current NBA player's career has succeeded the most from his continuous supporting cast? Rondo
09/10 sleeper team to make playoffs? Charlotte
09/10 sleeper team to win championship? Dallas and Denver
...Roy? All-Star
... MVP? Dwight Howard
... Defensive Player of the Year? Dwight Howard
this is why Roy is inflated. You are comparing a future hall of famer in Ray Allen to Roy who has played 3 solid seasons. Let me list you other players who performed well for their first few seasons but cannot touch Ray Allen
Steve Francis
Baron Davis
Mike Bibby
all great team leaders. all scored well in the beginning of their careers and all are not better than Ray Allen-- including your Roy.
Dude...Roy had more than "3 solid seasons". ROY first year, all-star second, and all-star and second-team third year.
I don't care if Ray Allen is a future hall of famer...Right now, Roy IS better than Allen. And to be honest, I don't know how you can argue that.
Isn't the argument more about who you'd want on your team? because right now i'd definitely take Roy to be on my squad rather than Allen, even if it was just for one year.
Ray-Ray is too one-dimensional.
Roy definitely still needs many more years of production to be in the conversation with Ray CAREER-WISE, but IMO he's definitely the better player right now, unless you're a team like the Magic which really thrives off of outside shooting, but even then, I might take BRoy.
Blazerfan is saying "right now" Roy is in the top 7. Remember when Stevie Franchise was a top player for a season? Remember when Jermaine Oneal was playing good for a season? Oneal was being compared to Garnett and Duncan that year. Longevity speaks volumes. Right now Roy had a solid year but I'd put my money on Ray Allen or if you want to use the building a team argument then I would definitely use a Kevin Durant. Either way Roy isn't in my top 10... sounds like he isn't in others either?
Roy has had three good years...Do you think his stats are just going to fall out of nowhere? I don't get what you are saying there...Also, how can you have Ray over Roy? What does he do better than Roy besides shooting? I am a big fan of Ray, but right now he's not as good as Roy.
Whether you have Roy in the top-10 or not, he was second all-NBA and that puts him in the top-10 no matter what you say...He probably will be second all-NBA next year and don't be surprised if he's 1st all-NBA in the future.
1. LBJ
2. Kobe
3. DWade
4. KG
5. Dwight
6. BRoy
7. Billups-->i think he's probably the most underrated player in the league, IMO
8. DWill
9. CP3
10. Nowitzki/Melo
~ this list is in regards to winning basketball games, not necessarily who the best 1-on-1 guy is. CP3 is clearly one of the most talented guys in the league but he was exposed this postseason as a bit of a one-trick pony, IMO
I wouldnt put Roy over D Will or CP3, but I kinda ge your point. The conversation has gone from Roy currently being a top 10 or top 7 player, to whether Ray Allen has had a better career. Of course Allen has been a better player in terms of his career so far, but thats a misleading argument because Roy has been in the NBA for 4 years entering this yr. Its crazy to say Allen iscurrently the better player. You know better than that.
Iguodala~
I guess my list is more about who I'd want on my team if I was in the finals for a 7 game series... (which assumes that i've got a team good enough to make the finals)
I don't think the BRoy or Billups could carry a team like CP3 does down in NO... what he's pulled off down there is amazing. Whether he will ever win a championship is another story.
