Another Ricky Rubio Deal I Thought Of

Yeah Yeah, some of you guys may be tired of me making deals, but oh well, bite a c#ck...My dreams is to become an NBA GM some day, but if that doesn't happen I want to get into broadcasting, scouting, or journalism for the NBA, so that's why I'm into trades so much...But anways, an even better deal the Timberwloves can make to get proper value out of Rubio, is to trade the rights of Rubio, Corey Brewer, Mark Blount, and Chucky Atkins, to the Portland Trailblazers, for Travis Outlaw, Joel Pryzbilla, Jerryd Bayless, and the draft rights to Joel Freeland...This deal like "ALL" my proposed deals, works out both financially and basketball wise...Basketballwise, this is how it makes sense...In Travis Outlaw, the Timberwolves picks up a supposent, 2nd or 3rd scoring option for their team...Outlaw has always complained he wants more touches in Portland, he wants to start, and has goals of being an All-Star one day, so what better team for him to go to, than the Minnesota Timberwolves? He can be a starter from day 1 and he will surely get along well with fellow Mississippi native, Al Jefferson, who is the star of the team...Jerryd Bayless could replace Rubio, as another young promising point guard, with All-Star potential...I feel Bayless is the second coming of Leandro Barbosa...Bayless will get more playing time in Minnesota, as the back up to Flynn, and will emerge as the player everyone envisioned him as..Flynn and Bayless would make the most expolsive point guard tandem in the league...Pryzbilla, a Minnesota native, returns home and starts alongside Big Al, to provide the Wolves, with leadership, shot-blocking, and rebounding...In Joel Freeland, the Wolves get a potential center down the line, that probably can eventually start up front with Al Jefferson...On Portland's end, they receive a sensation in Ricky Rubio, they would gladly allow to stay overseas for 2 more years and develop, because they signed Andre Miller for 3 years, so by the time year 2 of Andre Miller's deal is completed, Rubio will come in, learn from Miller, for a season, and then take over the starting point guard duties...Getting rid of the poutty Outlaw, frees up more touches for Rudy Fernandez and Martell Webster, two other young and talented players, at his position...The Blazers will still have a long jam at small forward, with the addition of Corey Brewer, but Brewer isn't a player that commands shots, he's more of a defensive specialist, so in that regards, I think the team chemistry will improve..The Blazers saves money, acquiring Mark Blount, because of his expiring contract, while had they kept Pryzbilla, he had a player's option which would net him over $ 7 million, in the 2010-2011 season, that he wouldn't be foolish not to take...In Atkins they get a veteran, who has a wealth of experience, and more importantly, he too has an expiring contract, so the Blazers saves even more money, for the biggest free agency in NBA history. This deal makes perfect sense.

Prybilla is one of the best defenders and rebounders in the game and hes underrated hes worth a lot to any team.

I like that deal a lot,

I like that deal a lot, besides the fact that I think Flynn and Bayless are VERY similar players

Q- don't disregard Joel Pryzbilla like that, the dude would be a PERFECT fit next to Big Al.

I like that deal a lot, but I don't think the Blazers would ever do that. I think they can get more for Outlaw, Bayless and Pryzbilla

To QHaynes

Travis Outlaw has never been giving big time starter minutes, like 35 minutes a game or more, if he gets that in Minnesota, I really think he can be a up incoming star in the NBA...Ala Tracy Mcgrady when he left Toronto and became a superstar on the Magic...Then Bayless has a lot of potential, so why not trade Rubio for them?

there would have to be a

there would have to be a third team for this to work because Portlands not giving up their only legit backup big. maybe throw in the Knicks as the third team with David Lee involved.

lolo...badger Outlaw is

lolo...badger

Outlaw is decent but to me, he is not a super lethal scorer and a great Defender. I see him as more of a better scoring Doug Christie

Pryzbilla is ok not great for me. He does not make deals go or stop for me.

Bayless has potential but....as a SG? He is not starting over Flynn homie, you just added a bench player.

I mean, we don't even know

I mean, we don't even know if Rubio is going to be that great, to be able to flip him into a VERY serviceable big man in Pryzbilla, a HUGE improvement to what we have at SF, AND another promising young guard? I mean.... sounds like a deal to me. I can't see the Blazers taking that deal.

I think both teams would do

I think both teams would do that deal. Getting rid of Pryz saves Portland some cash. Portland is getting their PG for the future & a bunch of expiring contracts. TWolves get the true Center they need & some scorers.

I still like this trade too:
Knicks get: Rubio, Brewer, 2nd Round Pick
Wolves get: Wilson Chandler, Jordan Hill

No!!!

I never said Bayless would start at shooting guard with Jonny Flynn, Bayless would come off the bench for him, and put up Leandro Barbosa numbers..Like 15 or more points, off the bench, with 3 or 4 assists...In stretches they could play together or against certain matchups, but Bayless if this deal went down, would come off the bench for Flynn

Hill can play PF or C. He

Hill can play PF or C. He is also a pretty good defender in the post which Minnesota needs. He also brings some length in the post which the TWolves also need.

How does this help the Knicks

Knicks get: Rubio, Brewer, 2nd Round Pick
Wolves get: Wilson Chandler, Jordan Hill

Why would the Knicks give up on a big man like Hill and Chandler was just coming into his own end of the season.
Makes no sense 2nd round pick is probly the 35th pick nm value there.

Better off signing Sessions as a free agent, who wants Brewer anyway he can't shoot and he's a career 6 pt shooter.

Stupid trade unless the Wolves are taking back Jeffries or Curry's contract no way Knicks do this
Basically your giving up 2 1st round talents for Rubio and a scrub.

I can deal with this trade

I liked Bayless in HS and his one year at Arizona. I just think he's to small for the two gaurd and not point gaurd material. Maybe a A. Iverson type player which is good for selling tickets but not for winning games. I also think that Bayless would be a starter over here kinda like J. O'neal did when he left for Indiana from Portland, they're just to crowded with young talent over there. I would also love to get rid of Brewer. Didn't like picking him in the first place.

I just don't see Portland doing it. They can get more for those players. Joel is a good servicable big man that many teams need and Outlaw is a stud. Like I said, not enough minutes to go around or he'll be a star also. Jury is still out on Bayless.
