I would actually be surprised if the majority of people went with Beasley.

Brook Lopez for now, Beasly

Brook Lopez for now, Beasly needs to find a position quick. SF or PF decide

even though beasley has more upside

i gotta go with brook lopez. there aren't too many good centers in the NBA right now, and he already has an good but improving post up game and is a great shot blocker. i agree with future, brook will be a top 5 center, i dont know about next year, but definitely along the road.

Lopez

He has the size and smooth all-around game. Beasley is more explosive in terms of scoring but Lopez can do everything well.

Lopez and i like Beastley

Lopez and i like Beastley but he does not have a position and is on the wrong team for a scorer. He would do good on Bucks or Minnesota. Rubio and Wade would not be a bad scenario.

why does a guy need to play

why does a guy need to play a set position to be a basketball player, im not saying you dont need positions just that if a player can play within a team's system and be productive it doesn't matter if he is a sf or pf. for the question i think it would depend on team need but i would prefer Lopez because centers are rarer than forwards.

I would take Beasly he didnt

I would take Beasly he didnt get as much minutes as Lopez did last year thats why he has better numbers but I think Beasly is better on offense and I think he has more poteintal.

depends on what u need, but

depends on what u need, but yea, most teams need a guy like lopez, more than they need a guy like beasley (because they already have someone like him)....

I agree with Kid Canada about the not needing a position. Beasley is a stud, and I'd take him if Lopez wasn't also a stud... but the fact of the matter is, when you're picking between two good-possibly-great players, it's kind of a rule of thumb to take the big man just cuz every team needs one, and there aren't that many out there (see GO vs durant)

Beasley

I like Mike more, his potential is crazy, i see him as a leading scorer if wade leaves MIami...just like more rebounding Carmelo Anthony. but ofcourse Lopez is also amazing rookie, I see him as a less dominating DUncan

Lopez

He was a lot better than I thought he would be. He already has a nice offensive game, rebounds well and plays pretty good defense. If he keeps improving there is not much more you could ask for. Beasly has a chance to be a really nice player, but a player like him is easier to find than a quality center. I don't agree that he has to find a position, he just needs to round out and keep developing the skills that he does have. He can and should be able to be effective at both the 3 and 4 positions. I remember when Antwain Jamison came into the league as a "tweener," but he worked a lot on rebounding as well as his perimeter skills. Even though he is basically only playing the 4 now, he can still step out and hit shots and do other things that guys have difficulty with when guarding him. There is no reason Beasly cannot do the same, especially considering he is more of a beast than Jamison was coming out of school.

i think Lopez is the kind of

i think Lopez is the kind of player whos good right away but never is supergood because he lacks athleticism. but Beasley long term will be a star he can dominate games sometimes but if he gets Constancy will be a 20-10 guy.

since the question is now,

since the question is now, i'm going to take lopez, like someone said nest year he will be a to 5 center and he's a game changer.

beasley on the other hand doesn't need to have a position, he just needs to be on the floor, if he gets 32 minutes next year, i guarantee 19 points and 7 rebounds, not as smooth but i think he can do what melo does.

Lopez now, definetly. Future

Lopez now, definetly.
Future top 5 player in a couple years at his position.
Beasley has the potential to be very good though.
