Where is "The Answer" headed?

After the Heat acquired Richardson it seems they aren't as interested in Allen Iverson now. The other teams, Memphis and Clippers are pretty much set now. So who will go after him?
I honestly think the Houston Rockets will offer him a One-Year Deal and use the rest of the Mid-Level Exception on him. I think we still have it left, I got confused on the Yao injury insurance and the Ariza signing. We didn't give David Andersen the full MLE. He could start at the 2 which would give us a very small backcourt, but he provides us with the scoring that we are missing. The only problem is when T-Mac comes back...and if he plays to what he is saying then, where do they go from then?
Will A.I go to the bench? Will 'Mac come off the bench, I'd expect so early on during his return, but after that I'd think they'd ease him into the Starting Spot if he produces well. Another though which would give them an awfully small lineup would be
PG - Aaron Brooks 6'0
SG - Allen Iverson 6'0
SF - Tracy McGrady 6'8 (He played some small forward for us when he first arrived)
PF - Shane Battier 6'8
C - Luis Scola 6'10
It'd be awesome if Allen Iverson actually came off the bench if asked and understood since we gave him a shot to resurrect him career and I believe we can stay in the Playoff Hunt until 'Mac arrives. I expect us to be anywhere from 6-8 depending on a couple of players. Plus, our 2 Spot isn't very deep. T-Mac (Injured)
Jermaine Taylor (Unproven Rookie). Our Forwards are amazing though, Scola, Battier, Ariza, Landry, Hayes, Budinger. :) Just wanted to say that. Ok...This is really long so I'd understand if very little actually take the time to read this.
The Best Possible Lineup would be
PG - Brooks SG - 'Mac SF - Battier PF - Scola C - Andersen 6th Man - A.I

I would like to see .I

I would like to see .I retire now, even if he wins a title he didn't do it as "The Answer" at his prime. he has nothing to gain only lose , decreasing stats and no respect.

sorry but hed be a much

sorry but hed be a much better fit with defensive guards like the Heat Chalmers, and Wade could guard the shooting guard if their on the court while Iverson guards point. his choices are down to Miami, Charlotte, and and New York from what i hear.

Well

Daryll Morey has been saying he has one more big move before the season. They have contacted Iverson's people multiple times as well. I doubt Charlotte is going to go get him now. Miami really seems to have lost interest. New York...hasn't been involved with him in a while. Memphis talks have died down and the Clippers are done with their roster.

LOL.

My stuff sucks? Yet, you put Jazz where he'd drive Sloan crazy enough to kill him or to Pheonix where they already have their starting 2-Guard in Jason Richardson...yeah, but my thing sucks. At least I'm going off rumors and whatnot. I'm not just blabbing illogical stuff.

Iverson better not go to the

Iverson better not go to the Rockets. Then we will have 2 sub 6 foot point guards on the floor at once that have a severe allergy to passing the ball. Iverson will never pass and Brooks is a scoring point. I would not want him on the Rockets I think that is a bad fit.

Potential Rockets lineup

That first starting line up with Brooks and AI has an average height of 6'5 1/5'' thats pretty short to do anything in the west.

It's just one year

What have we got to lose in doing this deal?
He scores, we need that. Who else is going to score for us besides Brooks and Scola?
Andersen is unproven as well as our two rookies (Budinger and Taylor)
Ariza has yet to prove he can score without someone getting him shots. Iverson has averaged a good amount of assists over the years. Lowry is more defensive then offensive as well as Dorsey and Hayes. Landry can score.
Well it was just a thought, I've talked to plenty of people who live in Houston and many are looking forward to the signing of him. He is my favorite NBA player until Rubio comes over and I'd love to watch him play in real life multiple times. I guess most people think it's a bad idea.

HAHA

-.-"
How can you call the Rockets a garbage team?
They still have players who'd other teams kill to get. Brooks is a young scoring Point Guard who showed everyone what he can do in the Playoffs and 2nd Half of the season.
Battier is a guy every team is dying to have. Scola was making some of the "Great PFs" in the league look silly in Gasol and Aldridge and brings everything he has night in and night out. You know what...oh well. If you think they are a garbage squad then ok. This is a one year deal to help revive his career. I'll let it play out and when the season comes around I'm sure the Rockets will surprise many people. =) Until then, all I can do is wait.

The Rockets have a lot to

The Rockets have a lot to lose doing this deal. Yes you bring in some instant offense but you lose toughness, defense, size and ball movement. A.I. is not a point guard and him and Brooks in the same backcourt would get murdered. Imagine them going against the Lakers. I wouldn't be surprised if Kobe broke Wilt's scoring mark if they fielded that backcourt. A.I. would be focused on getting his and he would not help that team one bit. The Rockets do not need someone that is going to be a talented ballhog, they need someone who is going to contribute to the team concept.

Uh.

Why would either of them be guarding Kobe when we have Battier and Ariza. Well we don't have an "Answer" at the 2 Spot.
We aren't starting no Rookie and the only other way is to slide Ariza to it or Battier.

I think AI's goal should be

I think AI's goal should be "win a title by himself" He hasn't been mentioned going to any contenders, let alone any playoff squads with possibly the exception of Miami.

Ok if Battier is on Kobe then who is AI guarding? Ron Artest, Fisher, Bynum, or Gasol? And where is Brooks in that? That means if you put Battier on Kobe Brooks is most likely guarding Fisher and you have Iverson on Bynum, Gasol or Artest. My point is that they would have gigantic matchup problems with that backcourt.

Yeah

I get what you are saying, but I guess we'd have to keep one of the two out when that problem occurs and let Ariza and Battier play some more. We will have matchup problems, but if we don't bring him in...isn't the same problem there?
No Shooting Guard and what Free Agents are left for us? Ariza nor Battier are shooting guards.

That's true but I think the

That's true but I think the most effective lineup would be to start Ariza at SG and Battier at SF. Brooks is a drive and kick kind of PG and both Ariza and Battier love to hang at the 3 point line. Ariza is quick enough and long enough to guard SGs and he is an above average rebounder as well. Scola at the 4 and Anderson at the 5 would round out that lineup. It is not the most powerful or the highest scoring but I think it would work the best. Honestly the Lowry Brooks rotation gives them a good change of pace off the bench and Iverson would really have to be willing to be a 6th man if he came in. I can't see them putting him and Brooks in at the same time, nor can I see them making Iverson the starting PG after giving Brooks the keys last year.

True

I just don't think Iverson would come off the bench for us if he won't for a contender. Yeah that is the best lineup though
I guess we'll have to depend on our defense as always. Hopefully Mac will lead us when he comes back

I think Tmac will come back

I think Tmac will come back and be great. Everyone has him coming back and maybe averaging 20 ppg. I mean last year he averaged almost 16 points on a bum knee and a bad shoulder working primarily as a jumpshooter. After knee and shoulder surgery I think he will be ready to go.

Honestly the best fit for AI

Honestly the best fit for AI is toronto. They are the onlt team that doesn't have a starting 2. He can be their leader and make guys like bosh better. I think thats a team he should go too.
