kings and grizzlies

instead of just going to the grizzlies or kings forum, i'd rather start one here for a lot of people to come in and join the discussion. You can talk about anything with these two team in this one.

Hawes - may
Thompson - brockman - kenny thomas<---might get playing time with new coach.
Nocioni - Greene - casspi
K-martin - garcia
Evans - beno - sergio

M Gasol - Thabeet - Haddadi - all 3 of these centers are 7'1 or taller.
randolph - Arthur - Hunter(7'0 240 can pass at PF these days).
Rudy Gay - Carrol
O.J. Mayo - Young
M.Conely - williams - Jaric

Unfortunately, I don't think the kings will do much better this year. The talent is young and will still continue to develope and learn. I'm project the kings to win 20-24 games this year. What will stand out this year is how evans does at the point. Next will be the bigs, do they get better and better like expected? Next, If the kings have a chance to trade off k-mart...should they? if it betters the team.. i say pull the trigger. With a new coach, sure we can expect frustration and hardship again. But i'm expecting westfall to be a much better coach than natt. Natt rarely got a techniqual and rarely stood up for his players. That bull$hit has to end. A coach should stand up for his players when something obviously isn't right, Now now, i'm not saying EVERYtime there's a bad call that he should get in the refs face. With a new coach, beno can probably be a little more comfortable. Natt and beno didn't get along very well, beno ended up on the bench with very little playing time...of course you'll play like $hit at this point. So give beno 1 more year before you axe him off. I think garcia has the potential to be in the running for 6th man of the year.

The grizzlies traded off darko so they could make room for thabeet. It wasn't the best of drafts and this draft could've used more than 2 centers.... and some more decent PF's. If memphis had ended up with griffin, they wouldn't have traded for randolph. Now, i'm not hating on randolph, just strongly expressing that i'd rather have griffin. I don't know how randolph will do in memphis' system. Many people express he's a cancer. But I'm gonna give him the chance to prove otherwise. I think it could workout and he can start a new life and establish a good reputation. I also hope gasol doesn't take a step back because of a decrease in playing time. I really like the pickup of williams. The kid did really well in the summer league and i'm glad i watched it. I like the idea of carrol being a hustler player. I think getting sam young was a GREAT pickup..wow. I think his age caused him to slip that far! who cares...we'll take him. Hollins to me is doing a good job, I'd keep him for the whole season unless we see otherwise ( players expressing discomfort or interest) or if the team's record is just terrible. With the talent the grizzlies have and hollins being an alright guy, I don't see this being a terrible team next year. I see them having struggles like younger teams have. i'm expecting the grizzlies to have between 30-35 wins next year. 32 to be exact if you asked me today.

Mike Conely won't be the

Mike Conely won't be the starting point guard in Memphis. He's not even close to Williams.

Dhamp...the greatest basketball mind in the world. Next to Hubie Brown anyway.

Conley will start he played

Conley will start he played wonderful at the end of last season.

I expect the Kings to end up with the worst record in the NBA Evans should be good and if they end up with the #1 pick him and Wall could one day be the best backcourt in the NBA.

I expect the Grizzlies to be very good this year I think they will end up with 40-45 wins. I think OJ will breakout this year like KD did last year I think he will establish himself as their franchise player.
