Renardo Sidney

Do you think he can be a top 5 pick this year? I think he can. He has a couple of issues but I think if he improves his conditioning, plays hard and Mississippi State wins some games, I would not be shocked to see him as a top 5 maybe 10 pick...thoughts?

Yeah

If he has a good 1st season with his size and shooting ability teams will not let him sit on that board long. That kid should get in the weight room and kill it. Get as strong as he can get.

Yea, even though I dont see him playing hard or being in great shape. He definitely is a top 5 talent though.

I think talent wise he is

I think talent wise he is definitely a top 5-10 talent. I don't know how high someone will pick him with his work ethic problems though. Still, one of the most talented players in the country hands down.

no way

I dont think he's a top 5 pick. He needs to bang down low instaed of trying to showcase is semi-decent shot from distance. Seriously, loose some weight and stop playing in underarmor.

He can be a high and low

He can be a high and low post offensive player and his D is solid. on this site, he is mid 1st and with a good season, I can see him being this year's Jonny Flynn.

Top 5 pick forsure

R.Sidney will be a top 5 pick because he can shoot the three, post up,handle the ball like a point and pass like cwebb. His conditioning will always be questioned but his potential will never be. he will be a beast at mississippi state this year!!!!

How in the world is he

How in the world is he overweight? Doesn't he play basketball for hours a day? Who's watching/mentoring this kid? HOW MUCH DOES HE EAT?!?

If he's lucky enough to play, he could be a top 15 pick in 2010 if he gets in better shape and stops shooting so many threes. It would take a phenomenal year by Sidney(I'm talking SEC player of the year honors), an SEC championship for Mississippi State and absolutely no incidents for him to be considered a top 5 pick in 2010. 2011 might be his best bet to be selected in the top five.

Its easy to be overweight

Its easy to be overweight and play basketball. Look at Charles Barkley, Oliver Miller, and Bryant Reeves. If Sidney keeps down the road he is...he'll end up like Reeves, fat and out of shape to play because it will kill his mobility. Sidney can be a great talent, and he does remind me alot of Chris Webber, but he might end up like John "Hot Plate" Williams if he can't pry himself away from a dinner table.
