Perry Jones #1 pick?

Alright im pretty sure someone has already posted this but who cares, i've been debating with my basketball cabinet about this youngster. NBAdraft.net has him projected as the number one pick in 2011 and the next McGrady. But espn.com has him ranked number 27 in the class of 2010, and a center with no range past 15 feet? Now either he got a whole hell of alot better since the high school season ended and the AAU season began or one of these services is jacked up. Anyone have any input because i hate judging players based on youtube because it only shows highlights, good and bad.

perry jones

what he brings to the table as far as length and coordination is very promising. I respect Rik Piteno's judge of talent and he said he was the best pro prospect at AAU's so I'd say he's closer to NBADRAFT's perspective rather then ESPN's

He is in the middle. I dont

He is in the middle. I dont think he will be a SG/SF in college, I think he will play PF and shot some range. I think he is a top 5 pick in 2011 but since PG are hot in drafts over the past recent years, I think Brandon Knight will go 1st in 2011.

I dunno, I see him playing

I dunno, I see him playing like a Anthony Randolph type game. In HS, Randolph was playing SF but moved to PF and showed more potential and his ability to play PF and still have the ability to be a SF in a Big Lineup

I think you can go to ESPN to look at scouts..

well

He's definitely a wing player, unless he puts on alot of weight in a year. He has a wing players game too, it would hamper him to play him in the post when thats not where he's most effective. With that said, he is the most talented guy in the 2010 class and I think him and Fab Melo have the potential to be 1st and 2nd picks. I would bet on Melo since he plays Center.

Yea man. He has size and a great post game. He jsut isnt a freak athlete, but it doesnt matter because he's 7'0 280. He is a decent athlete for his size though.

I like Perry Jones based on what i've read

I just hope hes allowed to be a wing player if/when he makes it to the NBA (never say never..)

You know, I just hope he isnt forced to play Center or even PF just because of his height...some coaches/teams will do that...
