"It's really no comparison to how I feel now and I how felt trying to play all of last season," said McGrady. "My knee is feeling extremely strong. The most important thing is I'm confident in it. You guys just stay tuned. I'm out here grinding in Chicago, trying to get back right, but yes I will be playing for the Rockets in the '09-10 season. I will be in uniform for the Rockets this upcoming season, I guarantee you that, and I will be a lot better than I was last year. I will be back to the player that I once was."
As a Rockets Fan I am full of optimism... :D Can't you see it in my smile?!?!
Still...........................if he is rushing it back then our season is really done if he is injured again.
He's made statements like this before, but his training has me believing along with the trainer he has. (MJ Former Trainer)
trade em 2 the blazers 4 Webster and Joel and or Rudy Fernandez and a draft pick they need a 5 with yao gone and a new 2 with t mac gone and rebuild from there tell me if you think this is a gud trade don't get crazy
Salaries dont add up.
I hope T-Mac is ok. But the Rockets should trade him.Lowry and cash to NY for Curry, Harrington, Duhon and Chandler.
If i'm getting Joel and Rudy then I'll take it, but if 'Mac plays first and shows he at that level again then maybe I'd want some draft pics. I don't see why Portland would want him though
How about Cleveland for Ilguaskas and West/Gibson+ Cash? Or Dallas for Dampier, Carroll, and Williams? All those contracts work out and would benefit both teams...thoughts?
They shouldnt trade Tracy for a bunch of crap. I mean all the trade scenerios are them getting role players and people who cant crack the rotation. Why trade a superstar to get more role players for a team that consist of mostly role players itself. They sould wait until McGrady is back see what level he is playing at and the decide rather or not they want to bring him back next year. Because if they dont want him why dont they just wait until free agency next year and use the free salary space to sign a future player they can build around.
I love McGrady and with one more really good season he's in my hall-of-fame. Right now, he's on the border because he's been betrayed by injuries. But so have a lot of players. I hope McGrady is right, but his mind and competitive nature may be telling him something his body won't allow him to live up to.
Dhamp...the greatest basketball mind in the world. Next to Hubie Brown anyway.
