The Pro Hop. I think your a PG right? For you its the crossover but out of those 3 a pro-hop is best because if really catches defenders off guard and that's where you can pick up free -throws because defenders are confused and are sometimes off balance

I think

The spin move is very effective for PG's, I remember Jameer Nelson and Delonte West used to have lethal spin moves at St. Joe's, and they always caught defenses by surprise. Spin moves arent used alot but when they are, they catch the D by surprise.

SPIN!!!

When executed with precision, the spin move is dangerous. I've seen that pro hop help, but also hurt you during a game. Especially against defenders who are good at collapsing and helping on defense. The side step is rarely used in a players skillset so it goes either way.

the Pro-hop is the best if

the Pro-hop is the best if your in the lane driving. You can basically move 5feet without having to risk getting the ball stolen and no one can stop you. I love the behind the back as a point guard. Most people can't do it right but i can do it full speed going forward with either hand. On defense I love when big guys are getting posted up, let the guy lean into themselves, and then step aside while the guy falls on his ass. haha

If

the side step youre talking about is the one i'm thinking of then that is it because it's a fast change of lateral direction while youre dribble is picked up and attacking the hoop with youre 3 steps. It creates space for the shotwhile keeping momentum.

It's probably

The Pro Hop because it is an unexpected move if you are a guard and it is almost impossible to shut this move down, because I've seen many people get ripped right in the middle of a spin move, but a Pro Hop after it is done, you are closer to the rim and it normally draws the defender of balance
