Can Gerald Green Find A Home?

This kid Gerald Green has so much potential, it's sad to see him keep getting bounced around from team to team...His last season with the Celtics he was on the verge of stardom, then once he got traded he never got his swagger back...If this kid could get consistent minutes on a team, I think he could still develop into an All-Star...Coming out of high school, people comapred him to T-Mac because their both 6'8, got a nice handle, athletic, has a knack for scoring, and he does that same juke move before he pulls up for his jumper, just like Mcgrady...I still feel he can develop into the second coming of Tracy, but he just got to land on a team, where he has the opportunity to start and get a lot of minutes...I say the best team for him to go on, is the Milwaukee Bucks...They need a high scoring athletic small forward to compliment, Michael Redd, and Gerald Green definitely fits the bill...A starting lineup of Andrew Bogut, Hakim Warrick, Gerald Green, Michael Redd, and Luke Ridnour or Brandon Jennings, would make a pretty exciting run & gun team to watch next season

A perfect team for Gerald

A perfect team for Gerald Green is the Suns. He needs to be allowed to make mistakes. In Boston, he got PT and then the Celtics felt he was never going to get it and traded him. Also, The Knicks should look at him for another wing player who can run.

Lol first off Joe Alexander

Lol first off Joe Alexander is a bust in the making so the Bucks have an opening at small forward. But I agree with don, he is still young and still has a shot to be pretty decent, maybe not the allstar level player once perdicted he would be. He needs to mature though, if you watched him last season with Dallas or the season he was with the Wolves, he never paid much attention to his coaches, would goof off during timeouts instead of listening like any young player should do, then would come into the game and make a bunch of mistakes that would put him right back on the bench.

I think he may have to go

I think he may have to go somewhere (Europe, NBDL) because once you get that "Lazy" Tag, it's tough to get off.

I like Gerald Green but I heard all that lazy stuff man, he needs to just go into the 2009 season focused.

^^^

He was a relatively good player in his 2nd year with the Celtics. He could be a great scorer, but his defense keeps him off the floor. He should just work hand and cherish every minute he's on the floor, instead of ball-hogging and not defending. Also all of his coaches have said he has a hard time learning plays, so he might be a little dumb. He has a low Bball IQ so I dont question that for one second. I think he should get a chance though, he has a lot of talent.

Duece4off You're correct. If Gerald was so talented, then why are teams so willing to trade him or let him walk. All he has is athletsicm. He's been in the league for a while now and he hasn't performed. Me and my friend argued over him, because my friend thought was a top 3 player on the Dallas Mavericks two seasons ago. What the heck???

The more I think of it,

The more I think of it, Gearld Green shouldn've went to Oklahoma State University, like he originally planned.

Oh definitely, he's a

Oh definitely, he's a classic case of a player that shouldve went to college 1st. David Stern did the right thing by making the "you must be 19, and out of HS for a year before you play in the NBA" rule.

i still think gerald green

i still think gerald green can be a good scorer in this league or a good matt barnes type of player, but i think he needs to go to a team like new orleans now, they need another shooting guard to compete with peterson and marcus thornton and they really need a scorer off the bench, but at new orleans you know he won't play unless he commits to defense, i mean look at brandon bass, stuck in new orleans for 2 years on the bench because he supposedly couldn't play defense and rebound, what did he do at dallas play defense and rebound, gerald green could benefit from the same thing

gerald green

is weak. He does not play tough. Fading away on all your shots and avoiding contact at both ends of the court is not gonna get it done. People who still praise his potential must be watching his highschool tapes instead of his NBA tapes.
