LOS ANGELES (AP) -- The Los Angeles Clippers have waived guard Mike Taylor.

Taylor played in 51 games for the Clippers last season, making five starts and averaging 5.7 points, 1.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 15.1 minutes.

The first-year player was drafted by Portland on June 26, 2008, and then traded to the Clippers for a 2009 second-round draft pick.

I thought he was too Da1pot!

I thought he was too Da1pot! Shocked me when I read it. Somebody will pick him up, even though he's not a consistent rotational point guard yet IMO. He's a good prospect though.

He's ok but not great, I think he will be picked up but he's not a "young core" guy.

I agree

He's not an impact player but he can bring so much energy night in and night out... If you saw his plays, that was something.. He reminds me a lot of Ronnie Price, not an impact player but when he does get those minutes, he produces...he makes at least one oohhsss or aaaahhhhss in a game if given the time to play...

taylor

He''ll probably just go back to the D-League. Man that sucks. The first and only D-league player to be drafted and now hes likely heading straight back if no one picks him up.

That's the Clippers front

That's the Clippers front office for you. Another bad decision. Only good decision they've made was drafting Griffin, but I wouldn't have been surprised if they picked someone random at #1 like Robert Dozier. Lol.

Guys got serious game as a

Guys got serious game as a back up point guard in this league. Solid, but not spectacular. Makes a trip back down to the DLeague and then signs with somebody.

May Help Sessions to Clippers

Could taylor being cut possibly help ramon sessions feelings about coming to the clippers? The Knicks are looking at Jason Williams and I read an article on hoopsworld that talked about the Bucks already have 16 players on their current are right under the luxury tax threshold which the may be reluctant to go over by matching a contract offer to sessions. I know the clippers still have telfair but where is he gonna get an offer from?

Philly should pick him up.

Philly should pick him up. He is a great athlete and scorer. Im surprised they didnt keep him, but he was very turnover prone in summer league and he didn't exactly run the offense to perfection. He wasnt immovable but they shouldve given him another year.
