THE OFFICIAL CONTEST

Alright here we go.... This is the place where we find out who knows the most about basketball. Here each person that wants to participate can post their thoughts/opinions on certain subjects for the upcoming nba &or college basketball season. When the seasons are over we can look back at this thread and see who knows what they are talking about & who doesn't. You can post anything you want. I'll post first to give you an example. This isn't a big deal just something fun to do really. If you don't want to post anything thats cool, you obviously don't have to. Each person has to post at least 10 things. Preferably at least 5 things in nba & 5 in college. You can post more than that if u want. You are free to post whatever you choose. It can be a wide range of topics from who wins it all, which surprise team makes the playoffs, who is a true sleepr player that will shine, who is MVP, who is ROY, your thoughts on random players etc... Bold statements are interesting & welcome. I will copy all this down too so people don't try to come back later & edit things. No need to cheat ha. I would rather be dumb than be a cheater. If I am wrong about most of my opinions then oh well this is just basketball. If some major free agent signings occur from here on out that significantly change your opinion on something then let me know and we can edit the thought. If you agree with some of my statements than you can post the same thing. If you disagree with things I say feel free to post the exact opposite. Since most of our discussions are just opinion based here is the chance to prove your knowledge. Good Luck & let the season begin! A lot of this is still opinion based & can't be completely proved yet but we can get the general idea of what direction things are headed in. Plus by looking at the stats after the season we can get a feel for what occurred. Take your time. As long as your entry is completed & posted on here before the season starts you are good to go. Man up & lets get this started. I know I am going to regret some of these predictions haha.

GATORHEELS CONTEST ENTRY

NBA

1. Glen Davis will prove that he needs to be starting regardless of what team he goes too. He has skills. Many people on here think he is simply a backup & I disagree.

2. DeRozan is overrated. I don't think he needs to be starting & I think he has a disappointing season. Maybe in a few years he becomes something special but this season he won't do much.

3. TWilliams, Gerald Henderson, & Johnny Flynn were drafted too high. All 3 of them will not be good starters. I think all three are backups & probably always will be. Look for these guys to struggle.

4. Golden State Warriors will make the playoffs. In the process they prove that they are better than the Clippers & have better young talent.

5. Anthony Randolph is a beast who is ready to go off. Morrow is a sleeper look for him to shine this year even in limited minutes. Brandon Wright will show that he truly is underrated and will take a big step in the right direction this season.

6. Rashad McCants is a sleeper. Look for him to bounce back in a major way. Even if he only gets limited minutes he will quite all the haters on here. He will make a positive impact on whichever team he joins.

7. Joe Alexander is a bust & will continue to prove that. Same thing can be said for Julian Wright & J Bayless.

8. BJ Mullens is a bust. Budinger is a bench player at best. I think Jermaine Taylor is better than Budinger.

9. Washington Wizards are making the playoffs. Caron Butler will show that he still is underrated. I think he is a top 5 SF.

10. The Orland Magic got better this offseason. Look for them to have a better record than last year & make it to the finals again. People are sleeping on Brandon Bass. Hedo wasn't that big of a factor, Vince Carter is the better player.

11. Robin Lopez is a backup & should never start. He won't be that effective. Isn't close to being as skilled as Brook.

12. MVP- Dwight Howard

13. Spurs made some great moves. They will win it all. Yes I am saying they beat the Lakers then beat the Magic in the finals. George Hill is a great backup to Tony Parker. I think Hill is a future starter in this league at PG.

14. Al Thornton is overrated. Yes, he can score but he is really a bench caliber player. This is the weak link for the Clippers. Thornton just isn't that effective on the court.

15. Tyrus Thomas will prove the haters wrong. Bulls fans constantly want him to be traded & I think they are out of their minds. Tyrus has major skills. He becomes more aggressive this season & really improves. James Johnson was a great pick at #16. He can score in the nba with ease. Not sure how much playing time he gets but when he plays he will impress.

16. Kings need major help in the post. Hawes & Thompson are overrated & neither should be starting. Also the Kings need an upgrade at SF. Garcia & Nocioni are scrubs.

17. LeBron still doesn't have enough help. They shouldve signed a different PF...Varejao is weak. Anthony Parker isn't even an upgrade over West besides being a little taller.

18. Miami misses the playoffs. I'm assuming they don't get Boozer or Odom. Wade simply doesn't have enough help & he will wear down.

19. Nets, Bucks, & Knicks are clearly the 3 worst teams in the East.

20. Lakers will prove this year that they need a new PG if they are going to win it all again. Fisher is too old & he won't make all those clutch shots anymore. Farmar & Brown are not the answer...they are purely backups & always will be.

21. The TWolves, KIngs are clearly the worst 2 teams in the West. Their records at years end will prove it. The Thunder aren't too far behind. I don't think OKC is nearly as good right now as the majority thinks.

22. Corey Brewer actually has a comeback year. I don't expect him to dominate by any means but he will slowly prove that he isn't a bust.

23. ROY- Blake Griffin. I don't think he leads the Clippers to the playoffs though.

COLLEGE NCAA BASKETBALL

1. Tulsa wins conference USA. Memphis has a disappointing year.

2. Three Freshman that aren't getting much love now but will after the season Jordan Hamilton (Texas), Dominic Cheek (Villanova) & Milton Jennings (Clemson) All three will be in the nba one day.

3. Paul George proves he was overhyped. Fresno St. has another terrible season. He will not be a lottery pick in the 2010 draft.

4. Lance Stephenson makes a major impact for Cincinnati. Cincy makes the NCAA tourney.

5. Super SEC sophmores that you probably haven't recognized yet but will Jeffrey Taylor & Scotty Hopson & JaMychal Green. All three have futures in the NBA.

6. Sylavan Landesberg is a stud. I would pick him before I picked Paul George or Evan Turner or Xavier Henry

7. Kansas wins it all. I hate Kansas but I have to be unbiased here.

haha sorry I wrote a book

haha sorry I wrote a book

I figured people like DHamp, Knicksboy, yup yup, Sheltwon, etc... would want to post their thoughts/predictions
People have been talking for a while now about some type of format where we can determine who knows what... I thought this may be a descent way.

There are a lot of egos on this site which is fine by me. I got love for everybody. I just wanted to see who truly knows their stuff.

My Predictions

I will make this nice and short.

NCAA Predictions-

1. Paul George will prove that he deserves MOST of the hype he's getting, and is a top 10 pick. I dont think he goes top 5.

2. I think Texas will win the Final Four this year. Both Jordan Hamilton and Avery Bradley are studs. Along with James and Pittman, they suprise everyone and take the title home.

3. Ed Davis will not be selected in the top 5. I think John Henson is the better prospect and I believe Davis will forgo the NBA and return to North Carolina for his junior season.

4. I think John Wall is the #1 pick regardless who wins the lottery.

5. Cal will suprise alot of people out there and will be in the the top 10 at the end of the year.

NBA Predictions-

1, Along with Gatorheels, I do think the Warriors will make the playoffs and have one of the best young talent in the whole NBA. Morrow is a sharpshooter, Curry will light it up also, and Anthony Randolph is a flat out STUD.

2. Brook Lopez will make the all star team this year.

3. MVP- Chris Paul and mark my words, he will be one of the greatest points guards to ever play the game

4. Kevin Durant will lead the league in scoring next year.

5. I think the LA Lakers repeat as champs.

Can I post mine? NBA top

Can I post mine?

NBA top 5

1. The Dallas Mavericks are fool's gold. Don't call them title contenders and don't expect nothing from them.

2. Anthony Randolph will not break out. It won't be his fault. Don Won't start him, he has not proven himself yet.

3. Andre Miller will be the best FA addition. He will lead this team and expect Oden and Aldridge to increase thier scoring

4. Some is a little Overrated. Chicago Bulls will miss the playoffs. Losing Ben Gordon and his late game scoring will effect their win total

5. Explosion into Playoffs- Kevin Durant averages around 32ppg and Oklahoma City makes the playoffs.

College Basketball

1. Party Crashers- Terrico White and James Anderson both crack the lottery after excellent seasons.

2. Sleeper Teams- Mississippi State and UConn. Both teams lost some guys but loaded up this year. Mississippi St added Renardo Sindey and John Riek (2 strong shot blockers) next to the best shot blocker in the country. UConn's big 3 of Walker, Dyson and Robinson will teach the young guys. Expect Sweet 16 or Better for both!

3. Duke will be better then the experts think. I see a Elite Eight team potentially.

4. Expect Derrick Favors to be the best prospect in the country.

5. Texas wins the National Championship.

That must've taken a long time, but its a cool topic

NBA Predictions:

1.The Philadelphia 76ers will make the playoffs as a 7th seed, and Andre Iguodala will average team leading totals in ppg (20), stls (2), and assts (6).

2. The T'Wolves PG will be Jonny Flynn and he will post averages of 14 ppg and 7 assts. He will also lead all PG's in the NBA in turnovers.

3. Baron Davis will be moved around the trade deadline and Dunleavy will be fired sometime before the move.

4. Nick Young will average 18 ppg, but will average 1 asst and 2 rebs.

5. The signing of Andre Miller will get the Blazers to the Western Conference Finals.

6. Shannon Brown will average 10 ppg and will replace Derek Fisher as the starter. How's that for bold (haha).

7. Jon Brockman takes Mark Madsen's role as the worst player in the NBA.

8. Austin Daye will average 14 ppg and 7 rebs in less than half a game (24 mins per).

9. Dwight Howard will be MVP.

10. LaMarcus Aldridge for Most Improved.

College:

1. Kansas State will be in the Elite 8, and Wally Judge, Denis Clemente will make all-conference. Judge will be on the 1st team, Clemente 2nd team.

2. Michigan will also be in the Elite 8, and Manny Harris will average 20 ppg.

3. Look for Kentucky to win the title.

4. Washington will be the Pac-10 champs.

5. Ed Davis will not make the 1st team All-ACC as a PF or C. Look for those to be held down by Virginia Tech's Jeff Allen (PF) and Derrick Favors (C).

6. Lawrence Westbrook: The best player in college basketball thats not an NBA prospect.

7. Pat Knight will be fired or resign during the season.

8. Breakout player mid major player: Randy Culpepper (UTEP).

9. Mickey D's All-American with the least instant success: Maalik Wayns (Villanova).

my predictions

nba
1. ive been telling my friends this since ever, earl clark is all nba caliber player. i think ,if given munutes, he will shine.
2. tyreke evans wins roy. im tired of ppl saying he is not a pg or he does not have a shot. he will grow over the season as well as his jumper.
3. stephon curry will disappoint. he wont be the bust i thought he was due to him going to gs so he should be allowed to shoot 3s all day.
4. cavs will disappoint. shaq will have an effect: not allowing lbj to do what he does best. shaq will clog the lane at times. i think lbj and him hammer it out. east conf finals at most.
5. barring injuries lakers vs celtics nba finals.
6. d wade is mvp. i told people that he wouldve won last season. i was close.
7.worst team this season may be the bucks. nj will fight for that position.

ncaa
1. sylvan lndesburg, my boy fron holy cross. when i seen him play in hs, he had a mean jumper. i think he just struggled last season. he hammers it out and burst on nba draft sites in feb. has ny vote for poy.
2.the anderson dude from oak state is nice. he'll pop up a lot on espn as well.
3. john wall is a little overrated. he is nice but some people, including some on this site, mistake him for god. i think he has a good season, but he wont take over games for kentucky.
4. stevenson shouldve just went to europe. he is thought if as a selfish player. coming to a team where he will have to be selfish will not clean up his image.
5. anthony mason gets injured again (lol jk)
6. i refuse to jump on the big 12 banwagon, forget kentucky, villanova wins the ncaas.

NBA 1. Glen Davis will prove

NBA

1. Glen Davis will prove that he needs to be starting regardless of what team he goes too. He has skills. Many people on here think he is simply a backup & I disagree.
Agree, he needs to sign with a team that will start him.

2. DeRozan is overrated. I don't think he needs to be starting & I think he has a disappointing season. Maybe in a few years he becomes something special but this season he won't do much.
Agree, Belinelli should be the starter on my raptors for now.

3. TWilliams, Gerald Henderson, & Johnny Flynn were drafted too high. All 3 of them will not be good starters. I think all three are backups & probably always will be. Look for these guys to struggle.
Only Henderson, Flynn could be a quality starter down the road, but i see gerald being an end of the bench guy.

4. Golden State Warriors will make the playoffs. In the process they prove that they are better than the Clippers & have better young talent.
I agree. Randolph is a beast, Morrow will be huge off the bench, Curry, Ellis, Biedrins will be great too.

5. Anthony Randolph is a beast who is ready to go off. Morrow is a sleeper look for him to shine this year even in limited minutes. Brandon Wright will show that he truly is underrated and will take a big step in the right direction this season.
Agree completely.

6. Rashad McCants is a sleeper. Look for him to bounce back in a major way. Even if he only gets limited minutes he will quite all the haters on here. He will make a positive impact on whichever team he joins.
Not a big sleeper, but i think he will contribute to whoever signs him.

7. Joe Alexander is a bust & will continue to prove that. Same thing can be said for Julian Wright & J Bayless.
Disagree: Joe will breakout this year with tons of minutes at the 3 position.

8. BJ Mullens is a bust. Budinger is a bench player at best. I think Jermaine Taylor is better than Budinger.
BJ is not a bust yet, he plays on a good young team with a weak C position.
Taylor and Budinger should contribute big this year.

9. Washington Wizards are making the playoffs. Caron Butler will show that he still is underrated. I think he is a top 5 SF.
they wil make the playoffs behind Arenas. He will have a big comeback.
Lebron, Melo, Granger, Durant, Iguodala are all better than Caron IMO.

10. The Orland Magic got better this offseason. Look for them to have a better record than last year & make it to the finals again. People are sleeping on Brandon Bass. Hedo wasn't that big of a factor, Vince Carter is the better player.
Agree, They will improve with tons of help from Bass and Carter.

11. Robin Lopez is a backup & should never start. He won't be that effective. Isn't close to being as skilled as Brook.
Disagree, he will get tons of minutes this year and is very good on D, he is improving his offense.

12. MVP- Dwight Howard
Disagree: MVP: Chris Paul.

13. Spurs made some great moves. They will win it all. Yes I am saying they beat the Lakers then beat the Magic in the finals. George Hill is a great backup to Tony Parker. I think Hill is a future starter in this league at PG.
Disagree, Celtics will win it all because Garnett will be healthy, Hil will be a starter in the league.

14. Al Thornton is overrated. Yes, he can score but he is really a bench caliber player. This is the weak link for the Clippers. Thornton just isn't that effective on the court.
Agree, bench player.

Agree, should be great this year.

16. Kings need major help in the post. Hawes & Thompson are overrated & neither should be starting. Also the Kings need an upgrade at SF. Garcia & Nocioni are scrubs.
Thompson is a starting PF, not a scrub. Hawes is a scrub. Garica is nothing other than a shooter.

17. LeBron still doesn't have enough help. They shouldve signed a different PF...Varejao is weak. Anthony Parker isn't even an upgrade over West besides being a little taller.
Agree .

18. Miami misses the playoffs. I'm assuming they don't get Boozer or Odom. Wade simply doesn't have enough help & he will wear down.
Disagree, Beasley will help out wade this year and make hte playoffs.

19. Nets, Bucks, & Knicks are clearly the 3 worst teams in the East.
Agree: THe Knicks are hte worst. Im not a NY hater, but The Nets have an allstar in harris and a good young player in Lee. Bucks will get better with Jennings.

20. Lakers will prove this year that they need a new PG if they are going to win it all again. Fisher is too old & he won't make all those clutch shots anymore. Farmar & Brown are not the answer...they are purely backups & always will be.
Agree; They should have kept their pick and drafted Douglas.

21. The TWolves, KIngs are clearly the worst 2 teams in the West. Their records at years end will prove it. The Thunder aren't too far behind. I don't think OKC is nearly as good right now as the majority thinks.
Agree; Thunder is a better team though. They have an amazing future.

22. Corey Brewer actually has a comeback year. I don't expect him to dominate by any means but he will slowly prove that he isn't a bust.
Hes nothing more than a bench player.

23. ROY- Blake Griffin. I don't think he leads the Clippers to the playoffs though.
Disagree: ROY: Brandon Jennings.
COLLEGE NCAA BASKETBALL

1. Tulsa wins conference USA. Memphis has a disappointing year.
Agree. Jerome Jordan should have a good season.

2. Three Freshman that aren't getting much love now but will after the season Jordan Hamilton (Texas), Dominic Cheek (Villanova) & Milton Jennings (Clemson) All three will be in the nba one day.
Agree.

3. Paul George proves he was overhyped. Fresno St. has another terrible season. He will not be a lottery pick in the 2010 draft.
Also agree, but he will be in the first round.

4. Lance Stephenson makes a major impact for Cincinnati. Cincy makes the NCAA tourney.
Agree, he will have a great yeat.

5. Super SEC sophmores that you probably haven't recognized yet but will Jeffrey Taylor & Scotty Hopson & JaMychal Green. All three have futures in the NBA.
Agree.

6. Sylavan Landesberg is a stud. I would pick him before I picked Paul George or Evan Turner or Xavier Henry
Id take Turner, but none of the other 2.

7. Kansas wins it all. I hate Kansas but I have to be unbiased here.
Agree.

5 NBA related..... 1. Emeka

5 NBA related.....

1. Emeka Okafor will have a breakout season playing with Chris Paul, he will get all the alley-oops Chandler got and has a better post up game than Chandler

2. LeBron James is the most athletic and fastest player in the history of the NBA

3. Derrick Rose improves vastly from his rookie year in all fascets of the game, plus he will lead the Bulls past the second round barring injuries( add Deng and Johnson, Salmons starts deeper lineup ), Ben Gordon left but now Rose has all the opportunity to take the clutch shots at the end of games

4. Kevin Durant will lead OKC to the playoffs , from what ive heard about team U.S.A ,K.D has been by far the best player on the court, i think K.D. takes his first step into super-stardom this year

5. T-Mac will come back as a #1 option ,and will eventually get into round 2 but not with the Rockets

H.S. and College and Euro

1. John Wall is the real deal.

2. Donatas Motiejunas is tooo good not to be taken in the top 5 , he has all the range of euro bigmen plus handle and an array of post up moves, can put the ball on the floor, and IMO he is more athletic than all of them

3. Paul George should be a top 5 pick , he will not disappoint for 1 reason , his killer instinct

4. Tony Wroten will end up the best in his class

5. Soloman Alabi will drop vastly unless he goes to Hakeem himself and buys atleast a drop of his offensive talent from him

one more Derrick Favors will explode and endup a top 3 pick for sure

No one said Derozan will

No one said Derozan will start everyone is buggin.......they said he will choke in summer league and did great, He will have a good season for a rookie....for sure averaging more than 10ppg....and he will just improve through the years

Don't want to hate but the Mccant Comment was biased......since he is your favourite player you think he going to be great....i expect him to be no better or maybe slightly better.....no drastic stuff

MVP dwight......thats a ill joke, Centers barely win this award. yea i think he has MVP caliber performances, But with kobe, lebron, and wade still in the league he will always come 4th or 5th......him and paul are very underrated for their performances and Show Actual MVP stuff every game.

everybody should stop saying that Fisher is going to suck.......we know that he old, and he only got a few more years left in him, but he is as physically fit as any young guy in the league.......he only showed little to no signs of slowing down......he is clutch and will retire on a high nore 6 rings Yes 2 more to go

Spurs Will Lose Due To Injuries Mark My Words

Al thornton is not overrated.......i think he is not on a good team, to be a leader........to much star names that demand the ball more then him, go to Milwackee and he will be a star

I agree Mullens and Alexander Are Busts

Also A New Combination Like Chris paul and Chandler will be Jennings and Amir Johnson.........Jennings Will Make them both Fan Favourites

Don't know much about college ball since i am a canadian boy.......and i don't got some serious access to college ball but i do know

Xavier henry and the kansas jayhawks will win the tourney

1. i agree but hell never be

1. i agree but hell never be more than a solid starter.

2. i like what he did at the end of last year, i agree he might not start this year but hell be a good pro.
3. i agree on Henderson and Twill, but Flynns a special player. no point guard besides maybe Chris has a bigger heart, and work ethic. he has holes but hes a gym rat and will keep improving.

4. their better than the Clipper but i have them just outside the playoffs behind the Thunder. still dont have a true point guard.

5.agreed i think Randolph, and Wright will be really good next year.
6. i agree hes good but not as good as Hirich, their equel on offense but Hinrichs the better defender.

7. i have to say no. Alexander once he harnesses his talent and gets playing time will be good. and Bayless reminds me of Chancuy Billups a long time ago a pg/sg with a nasty work ethic, and i think he can become a pg like Chauncey did.

8. agreed on Mullens. (think Robert Swift) i disagree on Budinger because hes white his athleticism is underratted and he has a good jump shot i think hell be good.

9. the key is Arenas being healthy.

10. agreed Bass is a huge upgrade over Battie, and Vince Carter is basicly Turkoglo with more Hops and Speed.
11. yeah hes a decent backup center something like Kurt Thomas.
12. MVP- Dwayne Wade.

13.agreed. they have ''been there done that''.

14. i disagree i think hes a good player and will do better now that they got rid of Randolph and can be a good third option.

15. i think hell be decent but i dont see him as a star.

16. their still young and ithink those two big men could be good starters but yes they need help.

17. no Shaq was enough Moe Williams, Lebron, and Shaq is a good enough combo yes they could have done better but they did pretty good in free agency.

18. expect huge strides from Chalmers i think hes an amazing defender and his offense will start comong. Beasley will keep gatting better and they were injured last year which held them back.
19. agreed.

20. they did it last year, and as proved in the last sevarel years point guard dont win championchips teams do.
21. agreed on them being being the two worst, but Kristic is still decently young and can be a decent year. i really think Harden filled their weakness and they will be a playoff team.
22. his size will help him i think hell be solid too.
23. ROY- Blake Griffin. agreed.

COLLEGE NCAA BASKETBALL

1. yeah Memphis is going downhill.

2. yeah they will be in the nba.
3. yes his team will be bad but he will put up monster numbers i think hell be a lottery pick.
4. as a double digit seed.

5. i agree Hopson will have a breakout year.

6. dont know enough about him.

7. im picking Texas but im probably bias.

Alright as many of you know

Alright as many of you know I'm not much for college basketball so I'm not going to get anything into on that behalf.

1. Louis Williams will win most improved player in the league next season. He will average Roughly 17 ppg- 7 apg- 4 rpg-160 3ptm, 370 ftm and shoot a whopping 43 perfect from the field. The drafting of Jrue Holoiday will not affect his tenure with this organization and the 76ers will not acquire a veteran point gurad by mid season.

2. The Spurs will win another title with Richard Jefferson on their roster. Maybe not this year, but fairly soon. This team has some much needed depth to back up it's well rounded experience. With Theo Ratliff, George Hill, Michael Finley, Rodger Mason, and Dajuan Blair on the bench this team is going to make some noise.

3. Earl Clark will be the 2009 Rookie of the year. This will happen when Amare Stoudemire is finally traded from this teams roster. He's out right not happy of his current situation with this team and will be demanding a trade for quite some time. If this isn't Clark Jennings is the second name that comes to my mind. I honestly believe the Bucks let Sessions walk because they don't feel a 3 year MLE is worth paying this guy. It's a foolish move of their part, but they see Jennings as the "It" Point Guard.

4. Tracy Mcgrady and Yao Ming have played their final game together. Tracy Mcgrady will be traded to an up and coming team looking for veteran leadership. The trade will be a salary dump with one minimally considered prospect within the deal. Expanding on this, Aaron Brooks will remain the best player on this teams roster next season.

5. Chris Kaman will be traded to the Charlotte Bobcats for Raymond Felton. I've been saying this move for quite some time now and a lot of people have laughed at me. This move will give them the flexibility to let Chandler walk when his contracts expired and give them a younger more assured big man in Kaman.

6. The Thunder will make the right decision by letting Serge Ibanka play overseas another season. I disagree with this, but the Etan Thomas move sealed his fate. This team is going to be title worthy in 2011 and just adding a budding Ibanka to that roster in 2010/2011 will only add fuel to their fire. Watch out as this kid takes this league by storm.

7. The Hype on Anthony Randolph is true. He's the Best LSU prospect to play in this league since Shaq. Yet seeing minutes for the Warriors will be a slim to none scenario. He will averages 14-9 playing in sparing minutes in this league. I'm also going to predict that he will lead the league in rebounding within the next 3 seasons. His per 48 numbers are out of this world.

8. Dwyane Wade will have a better fantasy season that Lebron James. He will also be the next MVP. You can quote me on that.

9. Kenyon Martin is the next Rasheed Wallace and will lead the league in technical fouls next season. The Nugget's won't be upset though as that will only open up more time for next years leader in blocks per game in Chris Anderson.

10. Andray Blatche will become a legitimate post threat within this league. He is going to average 16-9 next season and will become the wizards prized gem. I am very high on Blatche since seeing him in high school and watching him develop. Kid's got more game than people give him credit for.

11. Derrick Favors is a better pro prospect than John Wall. Period. Feel free to argue with me.

12. Ater Majok Will be a first round pick next season regardless of playing NCAA basketball. Laugh now, but cry later when I am right.

13. Here's a bold one. Ricky Rubio Will play in the NBA this season. That team will not be the Minnesota Timberwolves and will not be a Western Conference team.

14. Rasheed Wallace will hurt Boston more than help them win a title. Despite what gatorheels thinks, Leon Powe is a better player than Glen Davis regardless of injuries. People seriously sleep on how much this kid brings to the table.

15. Larry Bird will be remembered for his draft day blunder of playing it safe and not drafting BJ Mullens. This move will go down second to Jordan campaging for the Wizards to Draft Kwame Brown.

16. Wilson Chandler is a product of the system. I question if he honestly is a better basketball player than Jarred Jeffries. Just look how much Marion Benefited from this offense.

17. Deandre Jordan will be starting by the Allstar break and the Clippers will never look back on this decision.

18. Memphis will forever regret drafting a career back up center with the second overall pick.

19. Minnesota will have 3 coaching changes this season.

20. And lastly what I've stated before, a team with Dirk on their roster will never win an NBA Championship.

My Predictions

NBA
1- Celtics will win the NBA championship. They have the strongest starting lineup in the league to go along with a deep bench.
2- MVP- LeBron James
3- Orlando will not make it to the Eastern Conference finals, instead it will be cavs vs. celtics. The Hedo loss will hurt them. Like i explained in a post on another thread, Hedo provided them with multiple things that were vital to there success: outside shooting, ball handling, passing. He was also a matchup nightmare. With the 1-4 playing on the perimiter, it allowed Dwight to work one on one occasionaly. But now with bass, a POST player, Dwight will unfortunately suffer from constant double teams and only average about 15 a game. However, the biggest loss was his clutch performance. Hedo came up with big shots and big defensive plays (ask kobe) and they will now need someone to step up and fill that void.
4- The Wizards will emerge as the fourth best team in the east. Arenas will come back strong with foye and young splitting time at the two and Caron Butler at the three and mike miller as his backup. They will have the strongest/deepest backcourt in the east, maybe the league. Jamison will pair with McGee (breakout year) to create a formitable front court.
5- Detroit will struggle, as well as atlanta
6- Joahkim Noah will have a strong year and may become a fan favorite but hated by his opponents and their fans.
7- Paul Pierce will have a great year and establish himself as one of the GREATEST celtics of all time.
8- Spurs will reach the finals if they manage to stay healthy. Jefferson, Parker, Ginobli, and Duncan have a lot of star power to go with hill, mason, mcdyess, and blair.
9- Lakers will have a great regular season but will not be able to get it done in the post season. The conference final between spurs-lakers will be great.
10- Portland will get better, but they still will be unable to get to the elite level.
11- Thunder will win 30+ games
ROY: James Harden (If clippers make the playoffs, than this award goes to Blake, but i dont see that happening)

NCAA
12: The Big East will have a better year than expected, with West Virgina leading the way. Devin Ebanks and De'Sean Butler will form a very talented 3/4 combination. Casey Mitchell, the juco kid, will start and play well. Dalton Pepper will come in and help them shoot the 3 ball as a freshman. This is an elite 8 team, possibly final four if joe mazulla and truck bryant come back.
13- Sleeper team: MSU; could possibly win the sec west. Dee Bost, Barry Stewart, and Ravern Johnson form a solid backcourt. All of them average atleast ten points per game and each of them had multiple 20 point games, showing that anyone of them can go off anynight. The scary part though is that the frontcourt is stronger. Jarvis Varnado is returning at center. He has the potential to become the greatest shot blocker in NCAA history. While Jarvis brings the defensive intensity and limited offense, incoming frosh Renardo Sidney brings in a massive offensive repertoire. He is a great scorer whose shot extends to three point range. he is also a very talented passer and ballhandler for his size. If he keeps his head on straight, he will be in the running for freshman of the year. Shaunassey Smith, an incoming freshman may also make an impact. If Bost or Stewary get injured, the Bulldogs will have a more than capable backup with the underrater, high scoring smith.
14- Kansas will win the national championship.
15- POY: Luke Harangody. could average 25 and 15. also, watch out for ND, they have some good incoming transfers.
16- UW will win the Pac-10 again.
17- UNC will end up being a top ten team, possibly top 5
18- FOY: Derrick Favors. He will rack up rebounds and points. Him and Lawal will form one of the best frontcourts in the nation. Favors will lead GT to the sweet sixteen, possibly further with the help of lawal, iman shumpert at point, and the rest of the incoming freshman like glen rice and mfon udofia.
19- Breakout player: Deon Thompson will prove himself as one of the best forwards in the country after being overshadowed by his teammates last year.

whatever member are still around in a year

will have to remember to pull this back up so we can check it out. I'll start one that I will probably add more to in the next day or two.

LeBron will win MVP
Lakers will win title.
Heat will miss the playoffs.
Rose will be an all-star.
The Rocket's will become Aaron Brook's team next year.
Steph Curry will look like a bust
The Suns will blow it up and Nash, Amare, Hill, Barbosa will all be on the trading block. And Kerr's head will be on the chopping block.
Wizards will suprise everyone and be the 4th best team in east right behind the big 3 of Orl, Cle, and Bos.
Milwaukee and Minnesota will combine for about 35 wins. And they will be cold.
Piston's will miss playoffs and Dumars will recieve heat for for throwing big bucks at Gordon and CharlieV.
Knicks fans will be sorely dissapointed once again
Durant will be awesome, but not as good as so many people on here seem to think.
Tyreke Evans will punch Beno Udrih and then Brockman will punch Evans. Kings fans will applaud the effort.
Jrue Holiday will quiet the critics
Shaq will have a better then expected year and help the cavs become one of 5 teams to win at least 60 games.
Indiana will be relevant and compete for playoffs

College:
I only watch the pac 10, so:
The Pac 10 will suck with Cal being the only top 10 team and UW will be close behind. Only 3-4 bids for the big dance with UCLA and Oregon possibly being the other 2.

I'm sure I'll add more later.
