T-Mac or Dwade

Who is the better guard T-Mac in his prime(orlando days and early rockets days) or Dwayne Wade now? I think ima go with T-Mac jus because he was so incredibly exciting when he played with the magic. I mean he lead the league in scoring and he always had a flair for highlight plays and got Techs easy( whether punting the bball in the stands or body slamming bobby jackson). The guy was jus amazing there. Also think about the fact that he had basically no help(pat garrity is not help, and mike miller was young). Also his famous scoring spree as a houston rocket in which he won the game scoring 13 points in a minute i think or sumthin like that. wat do u guys think? wade or tmac?

vs.

T Mac had more of a skill set offensively, but Wade can get it done on both sides of the floor. They are both exciting and fun to watch but as far as who is the man, you gotta go with Wade. Most people do not even consider Wade to be in his prime yet and he is already a better overall player than T-mac ever was.

T-Mac wasnt great on D but

T-Mac wasnt great on D but he got it done when he had to Wade is way overrated on D people say that cuz he averaged over 1 blk per game and 2 spg, that doesnt make u a good defender

wade

one blk per game and 2 spg doesn't neccesarily make you great on d, its the second team all defense that he was voted for that I am referring to... And did T-Mac really have no weaknesses? Elaborate some more on that MikeNike.

TMac is a freak and I

TMac is a freak and I definitely think he was better in his prime... I wouldn't take him if I was starting a team because of his injuries, but when he's not hurt there aren't many more talented than he is.

i know IMO though he shouldnt have been on the second team all D for what gambling on D and 1 hawk down block per game , he is not yet an elite defender

T-Mac didn't have any weaknesses maybe except for his D at points and shot selection , but can u blame him just look at his team

wade

yeah i have to agree with you there Mikenike. T-mac's teams sucked. He pretty much had to shoot at whatever opportunity he was given. This is definately a topic for the future because Wade is not in his prime yet, though he is likely close. Its only fair to compare both players in their primes.

wade

tmac never got out of the 1st round. wade led a young heat team to the 2nd round during his rookie year! he was outstanding, even matched up well against a peaking baron davis.

Wade can do it both ends of

Wade can do it both ends of the floor plus he hustles in every play. TMAC will just give up on D.

No weakness?

T-Mac was never able to get out of the 1st round during his glory days if that! I would call that a glaring weakness. Seriously though, if Grant Hill had been healthy when they both signed with Orlando, we might've seen things differently.

one point i will mention

one point i will mention about tmac never getting outta the first- the same was true for KG for a long time, but he ended up getting the ring (he also had that on conference finals, but that was after maybe 10 straight? 8 straight? i donno the exact amount) after allllll those first round exits so... it could happen. None of us could have forseen KG Allen and Pierce coming together... just has to be the right place at the right time

anything is possible, right? lol

T-MAC

T-mac was great in his prime he had the crossovers the passes the highlight dunks the smooth jumpshot and a mean swagger on the court.Wade have the same qualities but he just not better than t-mac in his prime and wade jumper is incosistent. T-Mac had a power forward height point guard handles and passes and a mind like a shooting guard he was great to watch in his prime.

Wade. what separates a good player from a great player is his defense, and leadership.

T-Mac was better scorer but

T-Mac was better scorer but not a better all around player...When McGrady was in Orlando he was an offensive machine but he didnt have the leadership or defensive mindset to take Orlando anywhere in the playoffs...And those are two things Wade excel at, he is a vocal leader and he turns his defense up a notch when needed (especially in the playoffs)....

i wouldnt necessarily say WADE led his team to the playoffs his rooki year. I mean he did have lamar odom and caron butler. Who did t-mac have that could have even compared to lama and caron? nobody.

its really a toss up

Wades rookie year was Butlers second year, Butler wasn't developed then like he is now, and lamar was almost considered the number one option on that team and hell that teams leading scorer was eddie jones and lets be honest any team that has lamar as the first option or second option even in his prime was in trouble. T-Macs lack of trust in teammates is the reason no talent ever devloped around him like drew gooden. Drew gooden could have been a 20-10 guy but lack of team work and leadership by the one time face of the franchise T-mac made gooden never develop any real dominant part of his game.

T-Mac

he might have taken bad shot selection and is average on defense, but he's not turnover prone. unlike wade who averages what? 3-4 TO per game. d-wade when he won the championship had Shaq, Antoine Walker, J-Will, GP and Zo. T-Mac had Mike Miller, Drew Gooden, Darrell Armstrong and Garrity. that's not fair. T-Mac was just so smooth and a beast at his prime.
