To anyone that followed the fantasy game last season please retract the above posters statements.
Dwyane Wade outplayed Lebron James in an 82 game regular season, but because of the Media hype on Lebron Wade didn't get his due ends to receive his award. In my mind It's the second worst MVP vote I've ever seen. First being Tim Duncan winning it in consecutive years over Kevin Garnett.
This award should not be handed out and determined in the playoffs at all. Theirs a reason why a player is the regular season MVP, and why we have a Finals, and Playoffs MVP.
To take that away from Dwyane Wade because of a vote that happened in the playoffs instead of before hand is a joke.
Lebron Averages 28.4ppg, 7.6apg, 7.4rpg, 1.7spg, 1.1bpg, 594FTM, 132 3PTM, and a 49 FG%

To me it's all in how a player performs with what's around him. The argument can be made both ways, but I think Cleveland has more going on for them right now than Miami does and without both players Cleveland is still a better team. That's just my opinion though.
Wade is top 3 look at that team he had it was not a good team and they made the playoffs and he had to shoot because thats his role on the team and his jumpshot is leathal he hardly ever misses from 15ft and he plays pretty good defense for his position.
But I still have him third behind Kobe and Lebron. People put a little too much emphasis into stats and numbers. If you watch all three of these guys play, you can see what they mean to their respective teams and the game in general. They are all great, and I think they have seperated themselves from everyone else. And I don't think Melo, as good as he is, is in the convo right now.
Wade is definately in the top 3 melo easy in the top 5, if melo rebounded 8 or 9 boards or dished more dimes then maybe he would be ahead of wade but wade averaged almost 8 assists last season. None the less Wade carried the heat last year beasley was sub par i honestly think he will never have a 20 ppg season or season over 10 boards a game, Cook is a very god 3 ball shooter but he plays the same position as wade so he will never be anything but a back up and Jermaine O'neal was there low post scorer!!! seriously!!! i mean haslem was there too but he cant handle the scoring load for a big man, the heat this year was the eastern confrence version of the rockets, one all star level player with a bunch of role players
Man you got everything wrong if you can't read stats for season, career, and championships. No doubt Kobe is the best, but Wade I'd put second because if you think about it LeBron has had better teams than Wade, yet he wins a championship which matters more than MVP. LeBron, well hasn't won neither. I think there's too much hype on LeBron and people are just going to have to wait to figure this out. No offence to LeBron or his fans, but in the end is when everyone will know. All of these guys still has at least 3 yrs. left.

SDE! I see your back bro. I agree that Melo is the best PURE scorer in the NBA. He scores in so many ways. He can post up in the paint (I've never seen Wade do that) and he has the game's best mid-range jumper. Also, Melo really increased his 3 point shooting last year. Pound for pound, Melo is the best scorer in the league.

I also agree that Carmelo may be the best scorer in the league. He makes it look so easy. He also showed flashes of defensive prowess in the playoffs but he isnt in Wade, Kobe, or Lebrons league until he consistently plays great D like he showed he can do.

I still think Wade is one of the top 2-3 players in the league, but if you're gonna put Melo over him your on crack! Wade led the league in scoring, had 4 more APG than Melo and despite being 5 inches shorter, had only 2 fewer RPG. And if you wanna talk about this on a non-statistical basis, Wade has more rings, played in more games last year, and was the ONLY option on his team. Melo wasnt even the leader of his team IMO, it was Chauncey. Also...don't even get me started on defense.
If you're gonna omit Wade from your top 3 (which i think is a big mistake) you can not replace him with Melo. The other guy you should consider is Dwight, just because of the incredible impact he has on both ends of the floor. He's only getting better too...once he develops more post moves he will become Shaq-esque. Also, CP3 and D-Will are better players than Melo IMO, they can really run a team. Another guy to throw in there, although I think he is getting a little old is KG. When healthy I think he is a better overall player than Melo, but I can't say that until we see how he recovers from his inury.

not saying melo is bad, only that wade is a better player. i disagree that the heat would have won as many games with Melo, and I'm not sure if the Heat would have won it with Melo instead of Wade either... DWade won 4 games by himself, in the sense of how he took over every game. Against the same team- 4 times in a row, and that was what, his 3rd or 4th yr in the league?
Like you said, Wade is a better leader, and that's definitely part of being the best player.

Kobe is the best player on the planet, can score in so many ways, he can get his teammates involved, and has 4 rings, finals mvp, and there is no doubt he is the best player in the game today.
Wade was robbed of the MVP award. HE singlehandedly took his team to the playoffs averaging 30 ppg, also 7 apg. He also has a ring.
Lebron is great, obviously, and he can pretty much do everything, but until he can lead his team to a ring, with a better team than wade had, he is #3 on the list.

Everyone else needs a player to get a ring so that an outside party can use that piece of jewelry and say this is why so and so is great, because he has this ring. Michael Jordan robbed great players of rings on a regular basis. Bird, Russel, McHale, Parrish, and other Celtics players robbed great players of rings. Stockton doesn't have a ring but he is the all-time assist leader. Is he not great because he is missing a ring?
