I got Tapes and I can tell you he is a McGrady Clone man. The Difference is his game is even better because he likes to post up.

It's reaaaly early but,

he could be the next be the best highschool prospect since LeBron imo. We will have to see how much his IQ, Shot, Body and Handle develop. A legit 6'9 if he can get bigger, sky is the limit.

Perry Jones

He is a SPITTING IMAGE of McGrady. I think they were separated at birth lol. But yea, he has all the potential in the world, with a pretty polished offensive game. He will have to defend better though in college and in the L, but he's the real deal. He could have a Kevin Durant type impact in college.

To be Honest, Me and my pops

To be Honest, Me and my pops think he is like T-mac. But he needs to get his teammates more involved and play more D Like Igu 9 said. But, I dunno if he is the 2011 1st pick. I think Mike Gilchrist (spelling) and LaQuinton Ross are better prospects from the tapes we seen.

My thoughts

From what I've seen, the only guys that are rightfully ranked ahead of him (according to Rivals.com) are:

Fab Melo (he has too much size and offensive talent to pass up) and Brandon Knight (a good player at the most important position). But in terms of talent he is right there with them, they would just be more valuable to NBA teams because of the positions they play.

All those other guys like Jelan Kendrick, a guy who I've seen in person play that should be in college for at least 2 years, and Mr. Unathletic Robot Jared Sullinger shouldnt be ranked higher than him. I also think Barnes isnt as good as him, just more all-around and versatile.

TONY WROTEN- He is class of 2011. He has alot of good skills, not amazing skills. He needs to play PG to increase his "prospect stock"

My Boy is Dion Waters...he's gonna be very good.

Austin rivers

To me the best talent i seen has been Austin rivers he has a great jumpshot and he shoots deep and his handles are ok he has good athleticism not great he's no john wall and he isstuck between point guard and shootin guard i think he need to improve his point guard skills. He's class of 2011. Im just jealous because im the same age as these dudes and they have 20 times the basketball ability as me.

Don't know about Tristan

Don't know about Tristan Thompson in the top 10. He is nothing special. IMO

It sounds like Perry Jones has improved since the HS season. He matched up against Derrick Favors earlier in the year and was non existant. He guarded Favors(had help from 1 to 2 other guys) but couldn't contain him and they lost...Favors finished with 30 points and 20 rebounds and I think Jones had like 12 points.

Doc Rivers' offspring Austin looks like the real deal!

I know he wasn't in Vegas this past weekend, but man I've seen him play at the City of Palms Classic last year and came away very impressed!

The younger Rivers was the most impressive player in that tournament along with Kenny Boynton (both were the top scorers in the entire tourney.

Now mind you he shined over the likes of; John Wall (Kentucky), Lance Stephenson (Cincinatti) Dexter Strickland (North Carolina), Leslie McDonald (North Carolina), Shawne Williams (Texas), and Perry Jones himself (c/o 2011).

Only reason why Austin wasn't being discussed is because he was playing in the AAU Tournament in Florida instead of the the Adidas Super 64 in Vegas.

PROSPECTS

its so funny ,after reading the some of the thing the scout on this site said about the vegas game, how much they left out or didnt get right. I was in vegas and saw most of the games and players and unlike them im wasnt biased just because someone had a big name. I didnt see this perry jones kid so i cant say much about him. What i can say is wooten showed he can play the point guard position and is a very good passer. Josh smith showed he is out of shape and lazy but has very nice post moves. he looks like he could be like eddy curry. tristen thomas showed he is very talented but also lazy and is happy just getting by on being bigger or more athletic then other guys. My big issue was with Joshua Motenko, Head Scout for nbadraft.net assesment of the brandon bass vs belmont shore game in which my nephew(the real josh huestis) played and was being checked by toney mitchell. He went on and on about how good mitchell was and how he easily out rebounded every one yet josh lead the game in rebounds with 13. Then he talked about how much better of a athlete he is ( i cant lie he jumps out the gym) yet josh dunked on him pretty hard off of the drop step. then on top of all that josh finished with 19 pts yet there was no mention of him or this other kid who wore number 12 on the brandon bass team who was clearly there best player. I wish i knew his name because he looked like jameer nelson out there hitting threes floaters and midranges as well as picking peoples pockets. Hes the one who won the game for them and easily lead them in scoring. Mitchell might have had 10. but of course it was just another case of a player with a big name getting pumped up even though he didnt shine. There were so many other players in the tournament who played better then the names they listed as the most impressive that it kinda made me upset because i though this site was different then the other sites and that they would give players who actually played well or dominated there due
