Not trying to be Cocky BUT...
I cant promise anything but I think Johnson would strongly consider a reunion with D'Antoni and Amare in NY next offseason. Walsh has alread made it a point to say that if Lebron isnt available that he will target Johnson.
It wasn't just you, you're just the person who I just said I had enough with... Don't flatter yourself... You just said what about me and I told you...
j1232e- You're entitled to your opinion and so am I. Is it so hard to get good quality basketball talk on this site now? Its rare these days...
Stop it... Knicks haven't made the playoffs in how many years? And their still the most talked about team here... Joe Johnson would be stupid to go to the Knicks, when he's on a team that took the Celtics to 7 games and reached the second round last year... Go there for what? What can you provide a country boy from Arkansas? Everybody don't love NY... Stop thinking that... I know that's your team but stop thinking the world of the NBA is evolved around them... That's not the case bro...
hahaha the one-liner shoulda been an edit to my prior post, but i wanted to make sure that u saw that bibby was only a 5 apg guy, since you said teague could only ever be a 5-6 apg guy, like that was a HUGE drop in production from bibby, when in reality that'd be the exact same
bibby is a good player, but he's not really a pass-first PG
Not so fast bro... its numerous things to talk about... LBJ being a pu$$y, peoples legacy, up and coming players, best players in the league, teams improving, Over rated players, comparing players...etc... Usa camp, AAU.....
will go somewhere where he is the #1 option.
just like he did with ATL
the only exception i see is NY
otherwise.
he is staying or going to an ass team maybe Minnsota to mentor Wayne Elligton who knows
Knicks haven't made the playoffs in how many years? And their still the most talked about team here
so what? The Knicks are the wealthiest and biggest basketball market on the East Coast...why not talk about them. I'm not bias because if Joe Johnson was a FA...The Knicks would be a good fit.
is not getting younger. older players have tendencies to sign with campionship contenders, or former teams, or cities they grew up in. I think johnson will stay in ATL. or sign with a championship team that needs an upgrade at sg.
The NBA... No favorite team just a fan of the NBA... I like the Blazers somewhat because they always put themselves in a great postion to be a good team... But I mostly like players not a specific team... But even if I did, I wouldn't be bias...
I'm much less of a fan of the wolves now because, even living in WI, there are almost ZERO games on TV, and it's hard to root hard for a team that is almost completely different from the one u rooted for 4 years ago.
that said, i had an internship last winter/spring and i watched almost every game... and we were AWFUL.
which is true... how can u say you DON'T have a bias? everyone acts like having a bias is such a bad thing... no, it is what it is. other people just have to take that into account when they have a discussion about the knicks with u knick fans
But I live in D.C. I wouldn't call that a "SMALL" market team... I said I like the Blazers not they're my favorite team... I don't have one... I go to Wizards games all the time and they aren't my FAV team... Just a fan of hoops... I don't hate NY, just hate when everyone says people want to go to NY... I'm 3 hours from NY, its a bus that goes there every 2 hours... How many times I've been to NY? Once, and that was 10 years ago... Its not that serious bro, nothing too special about NY...
is a bad thing when you can't admit that you have one... And at that point if you do or don't think you have one, its not a fair arguement for you... Because you aren't giving a clear statement because you love that team so much... Here's one thing I noticed about A LOT of New Yorkers, they don't see outside of NY... Like its NY on top and its everyone else... And don't get it F-up... NY is cool and i like some of the people, but its not that great to stop your career and go there to play for a team that's 4 years away from being in the playoffs...
I feel bad for you badger, you should have jumped ship with me when they traded Mayo for Love. Worst NBA draft trade ever. Period.
OJ Mayo is going to be a team leader and a guy who is going to want the ball in his hands when it comes to clutch time. When I think of Kevin Love I don't see that at all. I see a gritty white boy trying to establish himself in a game of Black Giants. To me this trade was a mediocre player (Mike Miller), a borderline 3rd/4th option (Kevin Love), and Salary dumps in exchange for a guy who in my mind could very well be a hall of fame player when everything done.
Mayo just has "IT." He's been there and done that and for the most part he's got a sturdy head laying on top of his shoulders. One player doesn't take a single team to a championship. He needs budding stars around him to make it happen. In my mind Mayo has this. He's got a serviceable point guard in Mike Conley, a 20-10 player in Zach Randolph, developing big men in Thabeet and Gasol, and a true robin to batman in Rudy Gay. I would not be surprised at all to see this team win 48 games next year. Not on the fact that they drafted Thabeet, because I thought the pick was terrible, but because of the fact that they finally have something going for them.
This whole Hawks argument is nonsense. Breaking down overall roster I can name only a handful of teams who without individual and instead overall talent may be better than the Hawks right now. These teams being Boston, Orlando, and Washington off of the top of my head initially. Their all play off caliber teams that could very well find themselves in the Eastern Conference Finals. Each team is deep when it comes to their roster much like the Hawks. Something that truly needs to be factored into playoff runs.
For this reason and more I believe Cleveland even with the addition of Shaq is far from winning an NBA Championship. This isn't the Shaq of old we know and loved in LA and Orlando. It's the same old and moldy Shaq that will be scoring on garbage points. Averaging 15-10 shooting 55% from the field playing 25 minutes per game for 64 games this season. If this is what you want to call help Lebron and the Cleveland organization I suggest implementing the rebuilding plans sooner rather than later. Cleveland is not deep. Starting Anderson Varejao and Anthony Parker is like putting a band-aid onto a 3rd degree burn. I do like the Jamario Moon signing despite what it cost them. He maybe able to give Lebron a much needed breather here and there when needed.
If your gonna drop knowledge back it up on the site with a legit opinion and blatant facts. Don't just state your mind and peace on everyone.
it's just dirtier than most places- not really. Manhattan is dirty but most players dont live there
nothing too special about NY- Yea, nothing...endorsements, arena with traditions nothing about NY is special
this thread is the problem with this site. nobody used to care about who was more "knowledgeable". you guys are acting like you're trying to be invited to that really popular hot chicks party or something. Say what you think and if someone is against that f*** them. I'm tired of all the brown nosing on this site.
By biggest issue with Mayo is the fact that he thinks he's a PG. That's fine if he wants to play PG, but he's not going to get the most out of his skill-set by being the PG, IMO. He's a scorer who is a good passer, but that doesn't make him a PG. I'm not really sure if he understands how to get everyone involved in the game.
I'm also not a huge fan of the Mayo trade (i almost crapped my pants i was so excited when they picked him, only to wake up the next morning to find him GONE!) but I will say that KLove is a GREAT rebounder- one of the best in the game already. I think that if he can add the 3pt shot to his game, he will be a valuable 3rd/4th option. Al just needs shooters around him to stretch the court. there isn't one player in the NBA who can stop Al in the post one-on-one. If Mike Miller (the shooter) would have showed up, the trade wouldn't have looked SO bad.
auber is soooo biased.
I have to cheer against the Knicks this season because Utah has their first round pick this season. Danilo is freakin' awesome though.
I wouldn't say that Knicksboy's bias affects his ability to have a good arguement.
i agree with tuck. especially about bakimm. bruh no lie u like a str8 b*tch with that chain in ur mouth. Like a complete lame!! but yea this site does tend 2 piss me of with ppl throwin in trades they make up in their spare time. but honestly i jus go 2 the topics that actually seem like sumthin worth visitin. 1 more thing.......bakimm please take that gay azz picture of the website

lol plz check the stats knicksboy, bibby averaged 5.0 apg last season...... his best contribution was only committing 1.6 turnovers, which gave him an assist-to-TO of 3.1
