ACC and Big East Scoring
Greg Monroe for Big East.
ACC is going to be hard to predict. I'm going with Kyle Singler for 2 reasons.
1) He will be "THE MAN." Henderson is gone so he will move to the #1 scoring option.
2) Coach K has said in local newspapers he is moving Singler to the wing and will be playing the 2 and 3 spots next year instead of the 4 and 5 spots. The reason is twofold. First, Duke is weak at guard and heavy at forward next year. Second (and the reason I'm saying he will lead and might be ACC PotY) is because Coach K said (rightfully so) that this will be his position in the NBA, and he is way more comfortable at that spot since it's his natural position.
Singler in the post was only done b/c Duke had no one else. You are going to have a 6'8" Guard/Forward next year, being the #1 scoring option, in the high scoring ACC. He will be taller than most of his defenders. He already had NBA 3 range and good handles. I'm a UNC fan and I think he's going to be something special his Junior year and go over 20PPG. He never really had the post moves to keep him down low, although he got a lot better last year at it. Putting him on the wing will let him showcase his shooting ability more consistently and he'll be able to double as a Post-up guard--which is really hard to defend.
Who is going to lead the ACC, and the Big East in scoring next season?
