Ramon Sessions

Haha, this dude has been one of the most discussed guys on this site recently... No this is not wondering if you think the guy is a top 5 PG (Sheltwon) or if u think he's just not that good (microwave)

More of stating the reality that sessions is not going anywhere. (unless he's involved in some sort of sign-and-trade where he is one of the pieces sent in RETURN for the player who was signed-and-traded)

The Bucks obviously think that Sessions is a valuable piece, and that's why they extended him the qualifying offer.... They're not going to reneg on thinking the guy is a valuable piece all of a sudden, so unless someone offers significantly more than the mid-level, they're probably going to match the offer. In fact, they're probably HOPING that someone offers him the mid-level so that they can lock the guy up at 5.8 mill instead of some of the ridiculous contracts they've thrown at guys in the past.

So, the question is, can anyone offer Sessions more than the mid-level? I believe the only options now (after the andre miller signing) are OKC and Memphis, and I just don't see either of those teams offering more than the mid-level just to get a guy like Sessions when those teams already have OJ MAYo & Conley; Westbrook & Livingston

You are right but I am still

You are right but I am still hoping that Knicks work out a sign and trade. They have a chance a 42 plus wins if they strengten their point guard position because they have added enough big bodies.

FTR Sheltwon you are out of

FTR Sheltwon you are out of your mind if you think Ramon Sessions is a top 5 point guard right now in this league. You forget that Steve Nash, Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Tony Parker and Chauncey Billups Still play in this league. I wouldn't take sessions to run an offense over any of these point guards.

With that being said if he is that good then where is the money. Why hasn't someone given him a 5 year 50 million dollar deal like Memphis did to Josh Smith last year? Don't give me the economy excuse, or the 2010 cap room. Bottom line is teams don't feel comfortable giving this guy anything over a 3 year MLE and honestly I don't blame them.

Don't get it twisted and think I'm sipping on some hatorade on the guy, but let's not forget Brandon Jennings is right up his ass right now. So any leeway Sessions had going into the off season with this organization is out of the window. The matter of the fact is that Sessions hates having Scott Skiles as a coach. Any one who has the audacity to start Luke Ridnour over Ramon Sessions is out of their mind.

I'd like to see the wonders he'd run in the Knicks offense myself. Despite Memphis having the Money to sign this guy I'm more onto the idea of Mayo moving to the point guard position and trading C
onley away.

Dhamp

For the first time ever, let me time in on Sessions..... He was a pleasant suprise to almost anybody who truly covers and pays attention to NBA basketball. Initially, I didn't mind Luke Ridour starting ahead of a d-league player who was all but the 12th man on the roster. He turned some heads last season. He made some moderate noise, which at least warranted more than a couple of looks from head and assisstant coaches and GMs.

Now, he isn't in any way, shape or form a top 5 point guard. He may not be in the top 10, however, since Shetwon is my boy, I'll give Sessions a little more credit. Sessions has the first 20 games of next season to make a substanial impact or he'll fall into the Flip Murray (when Ray Allen was hurt) category, where someone unexpectedly blow up over the short period of time, but later faded.

Dhamp..the greatest basketball mind in the world. Next to Hubie Brown anyway.

Let me explain the top 5

Let me explain the top 5 point guard thing about Sessions. Honestly I believe that he will show that he could make a legit argument for being a top 5 point guard next season. Sessions is one of a few point guards that has legit play making abilities. Flip Murray problems was never that he was terrible, he was an undersized two who was limited defensively and also he just have been unlucky. He has consistently shown that given the minutes that he can score. He has just never been in the right position ever since the He put up some big numbers. He is trapped between being a role player and being a solid starter. That hurts him because he will never get paid how much he is worth. Sessions is a restricted free agent. He is a nice talented point guard that does not have much hype or experience in the NBA. He has NBA level play making skills and defense. His shooting is weak but not terrible. People forget how Rondo was getting clowned before he made noise in the NBA playoffs. Contracts get based on hype. David Lee does not even have a contract. If Session goes to New York or a team where he can get minutes, he will put up numbers and display skills that would have him mentioned in the top 5 of all point guards. That is what I was saying. I actually had him top ten in my ranking. Also Billups is a nice point guard with good leadership skills but he is not a natural playmaker. Session is. I would take Sessions over Billups. I do like Billups though but Billups is old and he lack that explosive energy that many top players have. Billups does show that extra level of skill in the playoffs like he needs to. He did show it a few games but he is what happens when you have a guy work hard and learn how to be a point guard. Session is a natural play maker that in the right system can be a poor man's Jason Kidd. If New York or maybe Charlotte gets him then you will see. The hold up is that he will not sign any deal that the Bucks will match. He should just take the qualifier and become an unrestricted free agent. Bucks would love to keep him on the cheap. I will tell you this if he get paid anything below 7 million he will be a super bargain.

Why do people say that I am

Why do people say that I am out of my mind about Sessions. Where would you rank him and why. I have reasons why I would say that he is top 5. Most people would not rank andre Miller that high either but he is a solid playmaker who makes team better all the time. Session is a better defender and scorer than Miller.

I wouldnt be suprised if

I wouldnt be suprised if sheltwon was ramon sessions. As he said he has his reasons. Its just all the other people who analyze basketball don't understand them. Doesn't it alarm you that thousands of people who watch basketball think your opinion is completely wrong, while you are the only the person in the entire world to believe Sessions is a top 5 pg.
This is a dude whos played in 100 nba games and made 9 threes. You can't simple pass over this as just being one weakness, for a guard in the NBA to have the inability to knock down open shots it is a near downfall . This guy is a worse shooter than Rajon Rondo and Russell Westbrook, and we all know how maligned these guys are for shooting, and how much they hurt their teams because of it. I think it is obvious that he doesn't bring the athleticism or defense of these guys.
However, Sessions is quite underrated. I think his ultimate peak is a solid, average NBA starter (top 15) and well worth the mid-level exception if not slightly more.It seems like Sessions is heading back to Milwaukee, which is quite a bummer. It will hurt both him and Jennings and play for one of the most boring nba franchises.

I'm not saying Sessions

I'm not saying Sessions can't ball, but get serious. Is he better than Nash, Parker, Williams, Rose, Paul, Rondo, Nelson, Harris, Calderon, Miller for starters. I can keep going if you want, but I'll just stop there. I wouldn't dare put Sessions ahead of any of these guys in terms of production and team success. I base my rankings on production at your position given's team success and then off stats. Fact of the Matter Milwaukee blows so Sessions "Has to be Good." You and DHamp keep smoking that serious herb of yours and play Dr. Dre's The Chronic and keep thinking Ramon Sessions is the next coming of Jesus Christ.

We will all see. Also i am

We will all see. Also i am drug free. I am not Ramon Sessions. My picture is on the side. Unlike many people that hide behind fact names and pictures. I have nothing to hide. I will keep saying what I am saying and during the season we will all see. This is not the first time I have proven many wrong. I have even prove many of the so called experts wrong.
