Who is going to be the next big Dynasty? I'm not talking about a miniature dynasty either. When I say that I mean like the Detroit, Lakers, and San Antonio teams of the last decade. They were all good franchises but they can't be put into the same group as Jordan's Bulls, Magic's Lakers, Russell's Celtics, and Mikan's Lakers. Those are the only REAL big dynasties that have been around. The 70's never saw one because in my eyes you have to win either 4 straight , go to 7 of 10, or win 5 out 10 NBA titles. Now there have been many smaller dynasties. Like Bird's celtics or Duncan's Spurs that have won multiple titles in a decade(my qualification for small dynasty) but only 4 real big dynasties. My question to you is do you think we'll ever see another? The lakers can qualify but since they are really 2 separate teams i still say they're a small one unless they win the next 2 titles. After them is there really another team that could be a big dynasty? The thunder could do it. Win one in 3 years and go on from there. Who else? Anyone? The nba is different. Every team seems to be loaded with talent nowadays. Many have 3 All'star quality players. Plus with the lengths players sit out do to injuries it decreases repeat chances even more. Will we ever see a really great dynasty again? Please respond with your opinions...
We can only hope, but now Rose needs a big 2nd option, a Pippen. Or, maybe, Rose can be the Pippen because DWade will come to town next summer. I can only hope.
This current Laker team could become a "mini" one as you put it since other then Fisher, Kobe is the next oldest guy at 30 yrs.
Why don't the Bulls go after Boozer and then sign Wade? Their starting line-up in 2010-11 could look like this:
That team could possibly turn into a dynasty.
because of free agency.
so many players leave for the bigger cash.
That Bulls team would be amazing, that's what I thought they were going after when they were rumored to be in a deal for Boozer. Just add another backup PG, and then you also have backups of Salmons, J. Johnson, Gibson, Pargo. I'm about to kill Jerry Reinsdorf for being the cheapest person on earth.
