CLEVELAND, Ohio -- John Adams gave seventh-ranked East Tech all it could handle, but the Scarabs had enough firepower to pull out an 84-80 victory on the road.

Kory Cullum and Markell Johnson did most of the damage for East Tech (4-0, 4-0), pouring in 32 and 28 points, respectively.

Joey Johnson scored a team-high 20 points for John Adams (1-5, 1-4). Trevon Ruthledge (17 points), Brooklyn Sims (16 points) and Jordan LeVerette (12 points) all had solid nights as well.
