Andrew Wiggins

  1. Cleveland | Andrew Wiggins | 6-8 | 200 | SF | Kansas | 19

I think the bucks go for defense and potential in Wiggins over ready production of Parker here, a solid rookie season from Giannis is not going to impact their thinking here.
Jabari Parker

  2. Milwaukee | Jabari Parker | 6-9 | 240 | SF/PF | Duke | 19

Philly now have the easiest decision in the draft, and of all the teams that might have picked third, they are the poorest fit for Exum, so I don't see them taking anyone else.
Joel Embiid

  3. *Philadelphia | Joel Embiid | 7-0 | 250 | C | Kansas | 20

The Cavs have a recent history of questionable picks but they've a new GM and I can't see them passing up Embiid. Most of the noise I'm hearing from GMs and scouts is Embiid is seen as the only 'can't miss' prospect in this draft.
Marcus Smart

  4. Orlando | Marcus Smart | 6-3 | 227 | PG | Oklahoma State | 20

Things get more interesting from here and I think the Magic get a natural replacement for Nelson. They liked him last year until he decided to return and I think the high IQ guard makes for a nice back-court with Oladipo.
Noah Vonleh

  5. Utah | Noah Vonleh | 6-9 | 247 | PF | Indiana | 19

Vonleh with his length and potential is a nice fit in Boston with the front-court pieces they have in place.
Dante Exum

  6. *Boston | Dante Exum | 6-6 | 196 | PG/SG | Australia | 19

I'm not convinced Exum will drop this far but I think it will be where he ends up, Boston and LA could swap picks or LA might try to move up to 4-5, or more likely they'll trade the pick for established talent. But if they try to use it I think they target either Exum or Randle.
Julius Randle

  7. LA Lakers | Julius Randle | 6-9 | 250 | PF | Kentucky | 19

Favors length and defense allows him to play centre and he doesn't look at home when not near the rim. Randle is a nice fit, can score on the low block and space the floor out to 17-20 feet. Insurance policy as well if Kanter's development stalls.
Aaron Gordon

  8. Sacramento | Aaron Gordon | 6-9 | 220 | PF | Arizona | 18

Word is the Kings are shopping this pick but whoever ends up with it goes BPA in my mind. Gordon impressed hugely at the combine and GMs love these high energy guys (Faried, Caroll etc.). Lacks a certain position at the next level but can be an immediate factor on the defensive end, and a clean up guy on offence.
James Young

  9. *Charlotte | James Young | 6-6 | 215 | SG | Kentucky | 19
