Player | Ht | Wt | Pos | Team | Age

Karl-Anthony Towns

  1. Minnesota | Karl-Anthony Towns | 7-0 | 250 | C | Kentucky | 19

Jumpshot and Defensive potential give KAT the top spot over Okafor and the ability to become a perennial all star. He seems like a better fit in Minnesota since they are an uptempo team with Rubio, Wiggins and LaVine. His midrange game (and potential 3 point range) will give more space to those players to attack the basket as well. NBA comp- LaMarcus Aldridge
Jahlil Okafor

  2. LA Lakers | Jahlil Okafor | 6-11 | 270 | C | Duke | 19

The Lakers picked a good year to have the 2nd pick because Okafor projects as a dominant post player in the league. His footwork and touch around the basket is Duncanesque. Unfortunately his defense isn't on Tim's level or he would have been a virtual lock at #1. Add that to his foul shooting woes and he has a lot to improve on...but that could be a good thing because his polished inside game is NBA ready. NBA comp-Al Jefferson
D'Angelo Russell

  3. Philadelphia | D'Angelo Russell | 6-4 | 195 | PG/SG | Ohio State | 19

Russell is my favorite player in the draft. His skills shooting, passing and dribbling are off the charts. He is a solid athlete but not spectacular or he would certainly be an option at #1. Like many offensive juggernauts his defense needs improvement but he is the scoring threat and playmaker the Sixers need to move forward with the batch of young bigs they are developing. NBA comp- A left handed Curry/ Brandon Roy combination.
Emmanuel Mudiay

  4. *New York | Emmanuel Mudiay | 6-5 | 200 | PG | Congo | 19

The Knicks are not a patient fanbase or organization so they may look to trade here...but they will probably be haunted by that decision down the road. Mudiay is a very high ceiling player with great athleticsm and awareness as a young PG. He needs to improve his jumpshot but he could be the next John Wall and the Knicks should take him with their history of awful point guards the last decade plus. NBA comp- Best case Scenario John Wall/ More likely scenario MCW
Justise Winslow

  5. Orlando | Justise Winslow | 6-6 | 222 | SG/SF | Duke | 19

Winslow excelled as a 4 playing next to Okafor at Duke. He won't do much of that in the NBA but he is still a very high potential 2 way wing who will be scary playing with Oladipo and Gordon...they just need a PG who can shoot. NBA comp- Left handed Leonard
Kristaps Porzingis

  6. Sacramento | Kristaps Porzingis | 7-1 | 230 | PF | Latvia | 20

I know almost nothing about this guy. I hear he will go around here. Kings need a player to play with Cousins or replace him. Trades could be an option here as the Kings could use a PG and perhaps look to move up to the 4 spot. NBA comp- Markieff Morris
Mario Hezonja

  7. Denver | Mario Hezonja | 6-8 | 215 | SG/SF | Croatia | 20

Denver needs to retool. Hezonja is loved by many and will be a good piece to start with. NBA comp- Gordon Hayward
Stanley Johnson

  8. Detroit | Stanley Johnson | 6-6 | 242 | SF | Arizona | 19

Detroit will be thrilled to get Johnson at this spot. He just one of these Leonard/Butler types i can see coming in the league and over the next 5 years improving vastly every year. NBA comp- Best case Jimmy Butler/ More likely DeMaree Carroll
Willie Cauley-Stein

  9. Charlotte | Willie Cauley-Stein | 7-0 | 242 | C | Kentucky | 22

WCS is energy and defense. Al Jeffferson is neither of those things. NBA Comp- Best case 7 foot Kenneth Faried/ More likely Javal McGee
Trey Lyles

  10. Miami | Trey Lyles | 6-10 | 240 | PF | Kentucky | 19

Miami can see a lot of Bosh in Lyles. By the time Bosh's new deal is over Lyles will be the better player.
Myles Turner

  11. Indiana | Myles Turner | 6-11 | 240 | C | Texas | 19

The Pacers are probably not going to have Hibbert in the middle too long. Turner gives them a more versatile offensive player who can eventually have the same effect on the defensive side of the ball as well. NBA comp- Meyers Leonard
Kelly Oubre

  12. Utah | Kelly Oubre | 6-7 | 205 | SF | Kansas | 19

Oubre could use a few years to learn from Hayward who is one of the most underrated SF's in the league. NBA comp- Left handed Wilson Chandler
Sam Dekker

  13. Phoenix | Sam Dekker | 6-9 | 220 | SF | Wisconsin | 21

Dekker's tourney run justifies the pacers drafting more white guys.
Cameron Payne

  14. Oklahoma Cty | Cameron Payne | 6-2 | 185 | PG | Murray St. | 21

Bobby Portis

  15. *Washington | Bobby Portis | 6-11 | 245 | PF | Arkansas | 20

Portis is a guy a lot of playoff teams would love to throw right into their rotations. OKC wasn't last year but I think that will change.
Kevon Looney

  16. Boston | Kevon Looney | 6-9 | 222 | PF | UCLA | 19

Devin Booker

  17. Milwaukee | Devin Booker | 6-6 | 205 | SG | Kentucky | 18

Frank Kaminsky

  18. *Houston | Frank Kaminsky | 7-1 | 230 | C | Wisconsin | 22
