Joel Embiid

  1. Cleveland | Joel Embiid | 7-0 | 250 | C | Kansas | 20

Cleveland can't screw up THIS many times...can they? If Embiid's back checks out, he's a no-brainer at #1.
Andrew Wiggins

  2. Milwaukee | Andrew Wiggins | 6-8 | 200 | SF | Kansas | 19

REALLY tough call between Wiggins and Parker. I'm leaning towards Milwaukee taking Wiggins, because I think they may be afraid Parker plays the same spot as Greek Freak. That said, I fully expect they'll try and extort extra picks or a vet out of Philly for him. I see Wiggins ultimately ending up on the Sixers.
Jabari Parker

  3. *Philadelphia | Jabari Parker | 6-9 | 240 | SF/PF | Duke | 19

Philly is in a good spot, as it gets to pick whoever's left of the top 3 in a 3 franchise player draft. Parker would step in immediately and provide offensive firepower to a team that struggled with shooting.
Dante Exum

  4. Orlando | Dante Exum | 6-6 | 196 | PG/SG | Australia | 18

Reports are that Orlando loves Exum and won't let him fall past them. He and Oladipo would immediately be one of the most freakishly athletic back courts in the NBA.
Marcus Smart

  5. Utah | Marcus Smart | 6-3 | 227 | PG | Oklahoma State | 20

Really tough draw for Utah. They desperately need wing help, and they clearly could use a guy like Parker or Wiggins, but neither of them will be available here. They don't have a burning need for a PF, but all the top 3 PF's will still be available. This might be more what I want to see than what will really happen, but I think a guy like Smart would be a great pick for Utah. Burke isn't yet proven, they could have a guard competition between Burke, Burks, and Smart to see what the best guard combos are. I could very easily see Noah Vonleh going here as well if they decide on a PF, same with Gordon. I don't see Randle going here just because he wouldn't spread the floor well with Favors already there.
Noah Vonleh

  6. *Boston | Noah Vonleh | 6-9 | 247 | PF | Indiana | 18

Julius Randle

  7. LA Lakers | Julius Randle | 6-9 | 250 | PF | Kentucky | 19

I was tempted to put Smart or Exum here, seeing as they're looking at moving Rondo. If they move Rondo, I'll have them taking Exum or Smart. Otherwise, BPA. Yeah yeah, they have Sullinger and Olynyk, but neither of them have the upside and athleticism of Randle. Randle will pretty much instantly be a starter, and can already beast at an NBA level. I see him being Zach Randolph 2.0.
Doug McDermott
