Myles Turner is taking an unofficial visit today (Saturday) to Texas for the Michigan State game, his father told SNY.tv.

“On my way! To Austin!,” the 6-foot-11 Turner Tweeted.

Asked how interested Texas was, David Turner said, “Extremely interested.”

Texas assistant Chris Ogden recently watched Turner go for 29 points, 15 rebounds and 9 blocks as Trinity (TX) beat Homeschool Christian (TX), 57-53, on ESPNU.

Turner currently lists Ohio State, Kansas, Duke, Kentucky, Arizona, Texas and Oklahoma State, and plans to sign late.

Having visited Ohio State officially, he also plans to take an official to Oklahoma State.
