Michigan signee Zak Irvin named Indiana's Mr. Basketball

Michigan signee Zak Irvin was named Indiana's Mr. Basketball on Wednesday.

Michigan will have one Mr. Basketball on its roster next season.

Indiana's Mr. Basketball.

Four-star small forward Zak Irvin, of Hamilton Southeastern High School, was declared the 2013 Indiana Mr. Basketball on Wednesday, according to the Indianapolis Star.

In three years at Hamilton Southeastern, Irvin totaled 1,239 points (18.8 points per game), 402 rebounds and 164 assists.

A former high school teammate of Michigan State's Gary Harris, Irvin gives Hamilton Southeastern two straight Indiana Mr. Basketball awards -- as Harris won the honor last season.

The 6-foot-7 forward will join four-star point guard Derrick Walton -- who nearly won Michigan's Mr. Basketball -- and four-star power forward Mark Donnal in Michigan's 2013 signing class.

According to the Star, Irvin beat out the next closest finalist by a whopping 55 votes.
