Before the season started I made a post doubting the Bulls original projected debut for Lavine of mid November of which only BTPH agreed with me. He has been doing on court drills like standing verticle since September and has been practicing with the Bulls G-League affiliate since late November early December was recalled to practice with the NBA team then sent back down. Now they are saying he should be recalled this week and could play this week.

Kinda feel bad for Bulls season ticket holders. I mean however you wanna look at it they were either wrong with the initial projection or they lied. Im upset as a fantasy basketball team owner I can only imagine how paying Bulls fans feel.

Either way he should be returning next week or two which excites me. I really like this Bulls team and think they can play some exciting uptempo ball. This offseason they have a good chance to add a guy like Jabari Parker and get a high draft pick and they are back in buisness.

Don’t worry about Bulls season ticket holders. They’re mostly owned by corporate and handed out to clients who don’t really give a shit about the Bulls, which is a major reason why the place is a giant morgue during games.

Besides, nobody who bought tickets this year expected the Bulls to be any good, even with Lavine. So since they were expected to suck there was no reason to rush him back.  The Bulls org didn’t need Lavine to sell tickets either since even when they suck they’re consistently among the tops in the league in home attendance.

The November return date was never a realistic one. He even said himself a week ago that he’s "close to 100%" which means even he thinks that he’s not quite where he wants to be physically.  Also, keep in mind that he lost some time in his recovery dealing with back spasms.
