FastAndFuriousParticipantI feel he is the next big thing,I always make these predictions on PG’s and usually end up right,he has that "IT" factor along with breathtaking athleticism,he can shoot, pass has the size(6’5) it’s all on him,UCLA clearly held him back, dont be suprised if he ends up the best player out this draft class

KDThunder35ParticipantT’Wolves might have came away with the best two players in last years draft. If they can get the number one pick and take Karl Towns – their potential a couple years down the line is ridiculous.

RUDEBOY_Participantdo you think he has a higher ceiling than your boy westbrook? lol

KDThunder35ParticipantThat’s a tough question because they both have different types of elite athletic qualities. Westbrooks speed and change of direction is athletically elite in the NBA.
LaVine has elite vertical ability off both feet. He can jump off two feet and one foot with the best of them in the NBA.
LaVine has a more fluid jumpshot which will open up his driving lanes with making the defense have to respect his jumpshot. Westbrook gets in the lane because of his strength, quickness and speed. I don’t think LaVine will ever have the speed, quickness and definitely not the strength Westbrook possess, but his jumper gives him a different kind of potential and a different avenue to get to the rim and create for others.
I think Westbrook will ultimately have the better career because his mental state. He thinks he is the best and tries to prove it every single possession. I don’t see that same mentality with LaVine.

Pistol Pete. The PelicanParticipantThe funny thing is timberwolves fans online hate him because of his turnovers. lol, it’s so dumb over on Canisus Hoops. Pretty much the only players they like are Rubio and Wiggins, but for the past month LaVine has been showing star potential.

omphalosParticipantOh man, so frustrated with Celtics drafting the last couple of years. Ainge either can’t spot upside or doesn’t have the balls to take a chance on a raw player.

cabbycabParticipantI’ve been doing a lot of thinking about this guy and you just can’t teach freak athleticism. He is just a freak show and and his skills are not too bad either for such a young guy. There was a post regarding Austin Rivers a few weeks back and Lavine is already a better player than Rivers.

HitsterParticipantWith LaVine’s size and athleticism he could slide across to SG with Rubio running the point and play some PG when Rubio is on the bench. The T-Wolves will be guaranteed a top 4 pick at worse this year so can add another nice prospect, the future might finally be looking up for them.

Taylor Gang MikeParticipantYeah, I think Zach is a true SG.. He thinks hes the best player and knows he can be great. With elite athletic ability and shooting ability, he can be Kobe or MJ………….. IF HE WORKS THAT HARD, and STUDYS FILM.. He has to put the work in tho. Minny lucked up in the draft. Zach may end up being a Tracy Mcgrady type. Remember when T Mac and Vince played together. Maybe Zach and Wiggins can be that same type players and situation. Hes gonna be fun to watch. The sky is the limit for Zach. I got trashed on this site for saying i would take him top 3. And that was when he was at UCLA, but i knew he was gonna be special. He has to much talent and upside.

omphalosParticipantYeah I’ve been pretty high on Lavine for a long time and was campaigning for the Celtics to take him over Smart last year in this thread: http://www.nbadraft.net/forum/how-solve-problem-celtics
A lot of people said even if both Lavine and Leonard (the other guy I suggested they acquire) matched out their potential this team couldn’t win a championship.
Most people didn’t agree.
I’ve also been saying Minnesota fans don’t realise just how lucky they are with Wiggins and Lavine both coming to the team at once and having the chance to grow together.
This team is going to be outrageously good if they can keep their core together.
I was skeptical about Flip Saunders as head coach, but that was before I knew he was old school in the sense that he really drills his guys on fundamental ball skills and all that, so he’s pretty perfect to nurture these young guys.
If they get Karl-Anthony Towns in the draft then it’s a wrap.

HitsterParticipantReally like the dynamics of Rubio distributing the ball for Wiggins and LaVine. If they get someone like KAT in the draft and create a twin towers with Pekovic then that could be a great starting 5. If Okafor and Pekovic could blend then I’d consider that too. KG may still be around to mentor any young big and I’m sure he’ll be giving words of wisdom to the likes of LaVine already.
