Yi Makes Strong Debut With Texas Legends

Yi Jianlian had a strong debut with the Texas Legends on Friday with 17 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks in a 108-93 NBA D-League loss to the Austin Toros.

Yi, who signed earlier Friday with the Mavericks and was assigned to their D-League affiliate, will make his home debut Sunday afternoon when the Legends face the Maine Red Claws at Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco.

Yi is an NBA talent, he just

Yi is an NBA talent, he just needs to change the way he plays and be much more aggresive on both ends. He is actually fairly strong and athletic, but he is softer than a baby's bottom.....

Talk about downhill

Talk about downhill, i'm not saying the D-League is bad but for Yi, i never imagined he'd end up there when he got drafted.

Yi and alexander are two of

Yi and alexander are two of some 1st draft picks that played, Yi must play more agrresive around the rim, he the body for it and the hieght, he is the poor mans version of bosh,

carlisle must try Yi playing along side Nowitzki even for just a week, experimenting with players rotations,

I don't put much stock in

I don't put much stock in D-League stats. Even Hasheem Thabeet was averaging 12 PPG, 9.6 RPG, 2.9 BPG and 55 FG% in 30 mins a game over 12 games in the D-League. And Terrence Williams was possibly the greatest player in D-League history averaging a triple double in three games; 28 PPG, 11.3 RPG and 10.7 APG.

Now I think Williams will be a solid player in the NBA but Yi will be a scrub at best. Athletic body but the mental makeup of a grade schooler.
