This year's Lottery winning sob story....(Survey)

Since year in and year out it never fails that majority including myself, thinks that the NBA Draft Lottery is rigged to a certain extent. Please feel free to come up with or give us the best sob story to why Team A gets the #1 Overall pick over Team B and C in the lottery.

This shall be interesting to see a couple Bobcat sob stories.

Hornets will get the 1st

Hornets will get the 1st overall pick. Stern sold it to the buyer of the New Orleans Hornets as part of a package deal.

^^Hornets getting the #1 pick

^^Hornets getting the #1 pick would be too obvious. No way they get it.

Hmm...

Here are my thoughts of who wont and might get the 1 if it is fixed. My favorites are Det, Nets, and GS

CHA- wont get it because Jordan is the guy that runs Charlotte. Stern doesnt want a player to help Jordans FO legacy and give him the easy route, he wants Jordan to actually start drafting good players.

WASH- its an election year and they want all the attention on the election

CLE- remember when Dan Gilbert said the Cavs would win a ring before the Heat? If Anthony Davis teams with RoY Kyrie Irving, those chances seem possible and Stern doesnt want that

NO- possiblity but Stern tries to deny there isnt a fix so he fixes it so the team the NBA runs doesnt win the 1st pick

SAC- arent they still having stadium issues? Plus, Cousins might try to upstage Davis, and stern doesnt want that to happen to the 1st pick

Por (via Nets)- this team will definitely not move into the top 3 and we all know why....Bowie, Oden. If any of the players below Davis become better then Davis, the press will never let Portland live it down. This pick actually will be the Nets if it moves into the top 3. Move to Brooklyn will help. If DeRon is serious about staying there is a chance for the Nets

GS- Jerry West and Stern are close, right? Their backcourt is pretty talented with sons of 2 former players and if someone moves ahead of them it will destroy West and thats all he has been talking about for the team must keep this pick this year

TOR-Dont know anything that happens in Canada.

DET- this is the winner IMO with Nets and GS finishing a close 2ndof landing the 1st pick. the Lions are on a upswing. So are the Tigers. With car factories closing they need a new hope in Auburn Hills

NO (via Minny) It will scream NBA trying to fix their team if NO lands two of the top 5 picks and get two instant starters. If Boston couldnt land the 1 or 2 in the Duncan draft, why should the Hornets. Plus Minny is a decent rising team. It would totally depress the fan base if they gave away rights to Anthony Daivs

POR- see above comment

MIL- too much flash and not enough substance from the backcourt.

PHX- this is a decent shot cuz PHX tends to stay good more then they are bad in my memory of the team but moving to 1 is so hard

HOU- to replace Yao's presence

Det, NO or Hou

Detroit refused to tank down the stretch and went from a 5-7 pick down to the 9 slot. You also know Davis would fit in perfectly with that team.

New Orleans leaps up with the T'Wolves unprotected pick and completely justify David Stern for hijacking the CP3-Lakers trade. Also provide a franchise conerstone for a team that the NBA has literally invested millions of dollars in order to keep them in NO. Leaves them with two top5 picks.

or

Houston never got to ride Yao Ming in the playoffs thanks to his feet breaking down. They have also been steadfast in their commitment not to chase ping-pong balls, relegating them to 8-seed-bottom-of-the-lottery-purgatory teams can get stuck in. The Brow gives them the superstar they thought they had in the aforementioned CP3 trade.
