I have no clue how to grade this International prospects. I have seen lots of film of Saric, Gobert, and Adetokunbo, some Schroeder and Nogueira (Only them so far), but I will be honest, I am very confused as to who will go before or after between these players.

It’s kind of frustrating for someone who gives the amount of thought his mock as I do. I’m a very certain about NCAA players, but all these International players really look like top potential top 10 picks.

For example, as anyone seen Saric play? The dude is extremely skilled, his back to basket is better than most PFs and Cs in the draft, combine with the fact he has PG handles and superb court vision, good shot and form…. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was a top 10 players from the class, maybe even top 5.

Adetokunbo is the youngest player in the draft and at 6’9 his slashing ability could make him a very specially player. Huge hands and wingspan.

Gobert length freak, but he actually has some nice hops. If you actually look at his feet when he jumps; he gets up there, and quick.

Schroeder has great natural feel for the game with his passing skills and ability to read the floor. Biggest wingspan for any 6’2 ever in the combine? Biggest hands in this draft at 6’2?

    etc

I don’t know what to with them, I know how fall they will NOT fall, but I don’t know how high they can go, but I guess yawl don’t either… what a predicament.

I see what you are saying. I haven’t seen much of any of these guys, including the local ones. But I guess I have guys who I like and
then I get some quick info on the other guys.

I hope that Giannis is the next Penny Hardaway and I am sure that others do too. But, we don’t know.

Then there is Rudy Gobert who facially resembles Sam Bowie with the same sort of build. Also similar you tube highlights, but I have never seen
Gobert play, nor have I ever watched much of Sam Bowie either.

I would like to see Gobert play. Sounds like a guy who could fall to the late first round, or move up to 5.

Who knows? But, that is what makes the draft fun.

I’m going to predict that Sergey Karasev becomes the best of the bunch. I must admit, I have really only watched games of Karasev and Saric among the international prospects, since their team’s games are available online, but I think Karasev looks like a really good prospect. Karasev is as good an offensive player right now as any wing in this draft. He will probably be a liability on defense and he doesn’t have the upside of Saric, but he is an outstanding shooter, great passer with excellent court sense, and is a very ambidextrous ball handler.

Karasev has really impressed me with his spot-up game. He is not just a shooter, as he uses head fakes well to beat defenders off the dribble. He also appears to have a very quick first step going both left and right, which is impressive for a young player. He is a deadly catch-and-shoot player, but he also catches the ball and immediately attacks often, which is impressive. He lacks the strength and athleticism to be much of a finisher at the rim in the NBA and I don’t think he will get to the free throw line as often in the NBA as he did in the United League, but he can make floaters in the lane with either hand and is a tremendous passer off the dribble, so he can convert his drives into points.

Karasev probably has the most diverse offensive game of any wing in this draft right now. He can come off screens, spot up, drive to the rim, run the pick-and-roll, and even post up. He lacks athleticism, but has a terrific handle, better than any of the other wings projected to go in the 1st round, and appears to be a very natural shooter. He is only 19, but he already has a very polished offensive skill set and the room to grow.
