 WVU vs VaTech

 

 

WVU started the game on top and way ahead but tech slowly chipped away at the lead to eventually over come the Mountaineers. I was at the game and some of the guys looked sluggish and disinterested.. I dont know if players were sick or just looking past tech but after they got up 16, guys almost quit playing and it cost them..

 

Eron Harris – 6’3 SO SG – 16 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 0 TO in 38 min. Shot horribly from the field (4-17) and missed a lot of shots around the rim.

 

Juan Staten – 6′ JR PG – 10 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 steal, 1 TO in 39 min. Had a crazy dunk, over 2 defenders, waved off because of an off the ball foul.

 

Devin Williams – 6’8 FR PF – 6 points, 11 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 TO in 23 min. He was very aggressive in the paint and it cost him PT.

 

Remi Debo and Gary Browne were great off our bench providing 17 and 18 points respectively. Debo was explosive from downtown and Browne was chaotic attacking.

 

WVU vs Duquesne

 

I didnt get to see this game but i was told that we were on point with everything.  We got out and ran the ball and tried to stay way from our terrible half court offense.

 

Juan Staten – 28 points, 3 rebounds, 9 assists, 3 steals, 1 TO in 40 min.  Staten is carrying a huge load but looking good.

 

Eron Harris – 33 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 TO in 35 min. Harris was on point with his jumper going 6-8 from 3.

 

Devin Williams – 18 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 TO in 36 min. Williams looked to dominate offensively and did a decent job for a freshman.

 

Terry Henderson played his first game "healthy" and is being eased back to avoid injuring the leg again.  He chipped in 7 points and a timely 3.

 I like WVU going forward. They have a lot of talent at the guard position in Harris, Staten, and Henderson and Williams, I feel, could be a really productive player in their front court as he gains steam.

 I think Williams is gonna be tough but something i have seen watching that worries me, he seems really dumb..  I hope its just me being sensitive tho.
