Wroten to declare for draft
I was really hoping he would come back, but he should be a good player regardless.
the question is now....does this adversly affect the PG dynamic or the SG dynamic in the draft? You know....does Wroten's declaration potentially hurt Kendall Marshall or Terrance Ross (for example)?
I wouldnt write off UW that quickly, mate. They are returning CJ Wilcox, Abdul Gaddy, Aziz N'Diaye and a guy that missed all of last year with a torn ACL, Scott Suggs
If anything I think it hurts a guy like Rivers stock. Rivers would have probably been the 3rd two guard taken, now he really might slip with Wroten and Ross entering. Those guys have legit 2 guard size. I see Wroten as a two guard at the next level but can play the point if need be. Ross is a great athlete who is a streaky shooter but has good size. I just hope Rivers does well at the combine for his sake. Does anybody know if Rivers signed an agent yet?
he's physically ready for the nba, he needs to go thru nba-intense shooting workout.... a strict nba coach would do him better.
there was a lot of talk at the beginning of the season about his game being better suited for the nba.... along with rivers
I covet Wroten more than Rivers. If I were a GM, I would take Tony. Rivers dont have the strength one-on-one ability that Wroten has and definitely not the athlete that Ross is...and smaller.
Wroten is bigger stronger, may be faster but not quicker than rivers. Also he is a year younger.Rivers is born 92 wroten born 93.You guys may very well be right.Wroten may get choosen first.
That's all but done...Wroten and Ross could both land in The Lottery with great workouts...
I don't think The Suns or Blazers let Ross or Wroten slide pass them...
can happen, wrotten was ahead in my big board before my mock.
wrotten stock can explode in the combine with rivers' possibly declining.
...same for meyers leonards over sullinger
oh yea scare crow.... ross will end up in the lotto. he's another one that will impress in the combine, with his shooting and athleticism.
I can see TWJr potentially going in the Lottery as both Portland & New Orleans have 2 Lotto picks in the upcoming draft and can afford to groom TWJr.
If NO can somehow land both ADavis & TWrotenJr they, with their current roster (Kaman, Okafor, Landry, Gordon, Jack), may be on their way to competing for the playoffs again sooner rather than later while setting up their future at the same time.
TRoss should be 1 of the top 3 sg guards selected and should most likely go Lottery especially if his workouts go smoothly.
2 young brothers that need to stay away from fame chasing NBA groupies & wife up their girlfriends to start a family!!
i would contend that rivers has more to offer a team now than wroten. wroten shot less than 20% from 3pt. that's not going to cut it in the nba unless you are dwayne wade. i think wroten should sell himself as a pg since this is a weak draft for pgs. i have him going to the nuggs since they are going to look to replace andre miller.
Hope the Spurs pull a repeat of last year's draft and draft this guy as a back up PG, shipping away James Anderson and/or Cory Joseph. The Spurs could fix his jumper like Kawhi's..... and what they could do with Wroten's potential.......
if the spurs get a hold of tony wroten ill just go ahead and call him tony parker (2.0)
Horrible decision. He's not ready. I've watched him play over 5 times this year and he's a straight up baller but plays so immaturely. He sometimes does some goofy stuff on the court that almost makes it look like a rec game. I agree with freshmen like Drummond, Davis and Beal leaving because their stock can't get much higher. Especially Drummond (and Davis since he's going #1). But this kid is about to get drafted in the late 1st round. He could've definitely been a lottery pick next year while improving his game appropriately. He might be one of those guys who never reaches his potential now.
according to my draft:
.
scott machado
jeremy lamb
batum
aldridge
tyler zeller
Wroten shouldn't be a high pick. He reminds me of T-Will (who is a scrub). They both dominate the ball, can't shoot, and have sloppy handles. He's also a bad, gambling defender and an overrated player, because he makes terrible decisions with the ball.
just watch when he will get drafted in top10..
he should be killing it in workouts and if he measured those 6'6.5 and shows how fast he is even in this big body ( i have heard he ran 100metres in like 10.5sec which is very good for 18yo even if running would be his prime sport)
people just pay way too much attention on his weaknesses, if it is said plusses outweighs minuses for Drummond the same should be said for Wroten too

There goes UW's team for next year.. But I'm excited for both him and T Ross.
