dahoodrecruiterParticipantLets say LBJ does go to Miami…….can Lakers compete with just the talent they have???? Im 1 of those guys that would love to see Kobe win 7 rings,, could that still happen with less then 50 minutes away from hearing a SUPER TRIO might be well in da making??? waat can Lakers do??? would they have to make ah all out run for Carmelo to form there own SUPER TRIO? can that even happen i dont know the numbers thing but can lakers add MELLO??

butidonthavemoneyI think the Heat would be the favorites in the East, but I wouldn’t pencil them in for the championship. Really, I’m waiting to see who else they sign to play with Wade, LeBron and Bosh. Guys like Fisher and Odom might not be in LA’s big three but they had a HUGE impact in the playoffs.
Edit: Oh, and no. Lakers do not need to add Melo.

llperezit would be fun to watch. Every championship is a challenge. Boston was an amazing defenisve team and the lakers found a way to get it done. The heat may or may not be favorites depending on who else they get, but there is more to winning a title then just having stars.

BlackMamba24ParticipantThe Heat dont have anybody to guard centers or bigs yet, plus you dont know how the 3 will play together, plus they have no bench. DP they plan on letting all of these guys play 48 minutes every game.

Malik-UniversalParticipantthe lakers need to get a more deeper bench since farmar mite be leavin, but no one knows miamis bench is gnna look like if bron resigns, but lineups would be great though if u wood compare the teams IF lebron signs

dahoodrecruiterParticipantBut man they made playoffs just last year to add james and bosh thats just insane……….i dont see no1 beating them they will steam roll threw regular season just like that boston team that won the ring the first year kg ,allen,nd pp…played together…..if indeed they r taking less to play together and beasely is still apart of the team coming off bench or watever man thats ah pretty good team

OrangeBallParticipantNo they do not need to sign melo they have a sf already

dahoodrecruiterParticipantthey have a sf but Mello is a UPGRADE

youngkParticipantregardless i think lakers chances are still good. if they can beat bostons big 3 (not even including rondo) they can beat the heat with bron. its a tough call either way though.

BallinmvpParticipantIf you take the time to look at the rosters between the heat( if lebron goes) and the lakers, The lakers clearly have the more talented and deeper team. The heat would be my second favorite to come out the east with the magic and heat going at in the conf finals but its plausible that kobe could get 7 rings it will be tough but its possible.

dahoodrecruiterParticipantbostons big 3 in no way was playing like the big 3 that won the title ….they kinda got healthy in p[layoffs but still they was not playing like the group that won the title

the I in winParticipantI still say the Lakers are the favorites but in about 2-3 years the Heat will bring in talent throught the draft and signings and will get to the point where they win 70 games every year for about 5 years. The might win 70 there first year but i doudt it.

Hoops MaestroParticipantThe Lakers have a good trade chip in Bynum, which could help bring Chris Paul or Carmelo Anthony or some other superstar in to help an aging Kobe… Don’t count LA out. Even without a trade, they may have better role players than Miami can afford now.

Charlie SheenParticipantDenver Gets:
Andrew Bynum
Ron Artest
Devin Ebanks
3 future 1stLos Angeles Lakers:
Carmelo Anthony
Nene
JR Smtih( Denver really doesnt want him idk why?)
Joey GrahamBut I doubt it happens cause Carmelo is expiring and Artest and Bynum are key guys in their system

dahoodrecruiterParticipantI would love to see cp3 or mello join forces with kobe and gasol…….
maybe its just me but something about all 3 of these guys joining forces teaming up just leaves ah bad taste in my mouth it just seems like its not suppose to happen this way….am i the only 1 feeling this way? ok it was kool reaching out to 1 of the big time free agents but 2?? sorta like ah recruiting process huh lol.so wade is bascily saying he cant win in miami with just bosh? i was happy for wade upon hearing that bosh had choosen to play with him just cause he would have ah legit star player that is actually contributing ,,,,because when shaq was there we all know wade carried that team to victory vs mavericks in nba finals …..so lets really look @ this if a aging boston team can push a lakers to a game 7 with kendrick perkins going down in game 6 and we really not knowing if the outcome would have been different with him in lineup…..im thinking the SUPER TRIO OF WADE BOSH AND KING JAMES ……would have won that 1 game that celtics needed to win outta 2 in L.A …i enjoyed the water cooler or barbershop discussions about who was better wade or lebron..well they just ended those convos no mo discussions they are teamates lloll0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/08/2010 - 8:32pm #349924
mrknowitall313Participanttheres no way the lakers r as deep as last yr. first they signed steve blake which is laughable. they dont want to pay fisher the money he wants so he must likely is gonna leave n farmar is a goner too cuz there is some team out there that thinks he might b a starter. i dont know who but thats what they’re saying.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/08/2010 - 8:34pm #349926
llperezfisher aint leaving, he will resign. Blake is probably a step up from farmar. And other then that they have pretty much the same roster, so how are they not as deep?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/09/2010 - 8:32am #350352
mrknowitall313Participantblake is not a step up from farmar cuz he cant play a lick of defense. he is nothing more than a average shooter. fisher might come back. he wants 5 mil a yr n the lakers dont want to give it to him. and brown is leaving 2.
