would parker for walker/toney work?

in the news section it says how much new york would love to have parker. would bill walker toney douglas and 2 2nd rounders this year work? walker and douglas have shown potential, this is a deep draft
douglas could back up hill, and it provides alot of cap relief to s,a. new york has very light salary commitments for next year according to nba draft machine.thoughts please thank you.

San Antonio would want a

San Antonio would want a little more for Parker. I would love to do something like

Wilson Chanlder, Toney Douglas and Bill Walker for Tony Parker and Ian Mihammi

but even then...I don't know if that a equal deal.

Chandler has to be included

It is a good deal if the knicks give up Chandler and Douglas plus a pick. I'm sure the Spurs would be happy to get back 2 young versatile players who both play solid defense. But It seems as if the Spurs would want back a young big to pair with Duncan then take over for him. But I still think it is a distinct possibility because Parker in New York under D'Antoni would be a great match and enuff to entice at least one of the big market free agents to Madison Square Gardens.

If the Spurs could get Wilson

If the Spurs could get Wilson Chandler for Tony Parker they should accept the deal immedietly. That would be a great move for the Spurs to revitalize Timmy D and they need some Salary Cap room.

New York really needs those minumum contracts thou just to keep the team filled out so trading the picks doesnt some appropriate...but then again when do the Knicks ever do anything appropriate?

I agree that Wilson Chandler

I agree that Wilson Chandler and Toney Douglas would be a more realistic deal for Parker and I think SA would bite on that in a heartbeat. RJ clearly wasn't a good fit for them, and Wilson has the toughness, slashing ability and good enough range to be a compliment to Timmy, Manu, and Hill in SA.
I also think Parker would be a great fit for D'Antoni. NY isn't gonna get LBJ or D Wade. but if they could get Parker in this trade and sign a big like Amare, they could come out ok.

are draft picks undervalued?

yes this could be a new thread topic but lets look at where and what george hill was. he was a small college player everyone undervalued and if I had suggested he could be a steal of the draft last year everyone would have laughed.
you say my original idea would have been an undervalue for s.a WHY? I believe douglas could be a nice backup for the spurs which is all they need. between brackins whose currently shown at the first of n.ys secound round draft picks and walker I think one if not both would be a valuable addition at the three spot for s.a if walker had went lottery as he was originally projected too we wouldnt even be having this conversation. blair was seen as the steal of last years draft yet walker in time could prove to be just as big of a steal, and were also forgetting the value of the salary cap space s.a would be saving for which they could also bring in another quality player.

brackins is seen as unable to guard anyone

s.f or p.f so to say that hes not a small forward isnt neccesary, I see him developing into a derrick mckey type player

That isn't enough, the first proposed idea..
You might be able to make another deal, it sucks that my Rockets took the Knicks pick & the Jazz have the other.

I dont like the move. Knicks

I dont like the move. Knicks need to focus on getting young solid talent and saving so cap space for Melo.

True but Parker is only 28 I

True but Parker is only 28 I don't like the move either it prevents them from getting a big man.
I wouldn't do the trade if Chandler was part of the deal he's worth a much younger PG.
This is just helping the Spurs out, if they'd take Walker/Douglas and a pick thats diff. worth looking into.
What about someone like Jordan Farmar the Lakers don't play him much even.

Still the Knicks haters think NY has no shot at Lebron why to head back to an old Cavs team that will lose in the 2nd round again. Until Lebron signs with another team don't rule out the Knicks.

Yeah good for the Spurs

I don't see that happening Parker isn't that great on D or shooting the 3.
Why give up 2 young players and a pick for Parker who's got a big contract.
Chandler, Gallo are good enough along with some lesser young players and D'antoni to help recruit player to NY. This isn't the old Knicks team of 2006 or 07.
Only way I would give up Chandler is if they take Curry in the deal which is doubtful.
Not trying to win 40 games and be better for 1 year.
