Would this Nets team make the playoffs?

Let's say there are bunch of injuries on the Nets. Would this squad make the playoffs in the East?

PG - DWill backup Livingston
SG - J Terry backup Anderson
SF - AK47 backup Anderson/Teletovic
PF - R. Evans backup Plumlee/Teletovic
C - A. Blatche backup Plumlee

Honestly, I think it would still be a fairly competitive team. I'm assuming that DWill has the ankle issues licked as it seems he did after the All Star break last year. And I'm assuming Blatche has figured some stuff out and he can duplicate his 19 and 9 on fairly efficient 55% TS%. Also I'm assuming 40 wins will be enough to squeak into the playoffs in the East next season.

Maybe that squad wouldn't make the playoffs. But I think it is enough to hold down the fort for a month or two and win some games.

The team is just majorly deep.

doubt it

Team is too perimeter based. Jt too small to play long minutes and defend the 2. No post scoring. Not sold on blatche

For a whole season? No, but

For a whole season? No, but if Brooklyn broke down mid season I think that roster is veteran enough and Dwill could take on the role of a 20 ppg scorer so they could play 500 ball and limp into the playoffs...that is if Jason Kidd is any good as a coach, that'd be biggest test on him, IMO.

Yeah, that is kind of what I

Yeah, that is kind of what I meant. And I think 500 ball will get you into the playoffs in the East this year.
I dropped four starters from their team. Think about that. Take any four starters off of Indiana, Bulls, or Knicks and you would have nothing left. Heat would be fine as long as you left them Lebron. But besides the Heat, I don't think there is another team in the league that you could even make a case for being able to function after losing four starters.

The Bulls? That is exactly

The Bulls? That is exactly what they did last year, they were the best injury riddled team I've ever seen.

I Think they will need to use

I Think they will need to use all of their depth since they are old and guys will need to be rested and some will get hurt.

The Competion

The competition in the east is just too much. Miami, Chicago, Indiana, etc. They wouldn't be able to keep the Nets going like the starters could.

8 teams make the playoffs.

8 teams make the playoffs. You've named three. Name five more that this Nets roster couldn't compete with.
The Nets won 49 games last year. This hypothetical roster returns DWill and Reggie Evans. A healthy DWill is better than the banged up DWill who played half of last season. AK47 is an upgrade over G. Wallace. Blatche last year wasn't much worse than Lopez. And J. Johnson was pretty average last year. Jason Terry wouldn't be a downgrade offensively as he was the more efficient scorer than Johnson. But folks are right that he is a little small at the two. Johnson's size really helps out on defense.

Anyway, just getting excited for the season. I can't wait to see this team in action.

there is no way that team

there is no way that team could make the playoffs with that lineup for the entire season, especially with the growing pains i'm expecting jason kidd to have as a coach this early. he's still a little immature for a coach. kg really makes a difference with his leadership. but for a stretch, yeah like joe wolf said, it's possible barring what there record is and how long the stretch is left with injuries. if doc rivers or pop or even thib, it's possible.
