JCliff24ParticipantSay Wiggins is the number one pick and Embiid and Parker are both available, who does Milwaukee go with and why?

KHAM83ParticipantI think they have to take Embiid. Correct if I’m wrong, but Milwaukee isn’t a team with deep pockets to spend on players. Let’s assume they can only afford one superstar, assuming the big 3 reaches their potential. With that said, a center can make the most impact and you try to build around him. And if this is the case, you have shooters already (Knight, Mayo, Illyasova) to play around him.

NbafanmanParticipantMilwaukee has their sf of the future in the Greek freak who is still only 19 and has promising potential. Remember, at 6’11 he was in the skills competition for his ball handling and passing ability/potential. Unless they feel like Jabari can play pf and play it right away I don’t think they’d pass on embiid. Like u said they have shooters in knight, mayo, ilyasova. Drafting embiid will also allow them to trade Sanders.

Memphis MadnessParticipantGo with Embiid. Then you can look into trading Larry Sanders. His stock is pretty low though. Then again, it COULD go lower.

machu46ParticipantWe would take Embiid unless we had reason to believe his back was seriously messed up.

B-ball fanParticipantBucks problem is having Henson and Sanders who don’t fit next to Embiid. I think Henson has become overrated and could be sold, although I’m not sure his stock is too high when he can’t beat out Jeff Adrien for a starting spot. Trading Sanders would be an instance of selling-low, but he doesn’t fit next to Embiid at all.
Parker would be a near perfect fit in Milwaukee, but if the Bucks think Embiid is BPA (which he probably is), then they almost have to draft him. As a fan, I do want to see Parker on the Bucks, as a Giannis-Parker-Sanders frontcourt could be deadly in a couple years.

JCliff24ParticipantAppreciate the feedback. I’m a Cavs fan who has heard the rumbling rumors of the Sixers dishing #3 and #10 for the Cavs #1. It seems clear Philly would want Wiggins and my thought process was if the Cavs covet Embiid and Milwaukee prefers Parker It could a deal where we still get our number 1 choice, and the 10th pick.
As I said, I’m a Cleveland sports fan, a lot of time for day dreaming around here.

Clean187ParticipantThere were rumblings that Sixers inquired about the #1 pick, but there is no chance they deal #3 and #10 for #1.

WITNESS2014ParticipantI think if they take Embiid they could still keep sanders around to let Embiid get his feet wet. Once Embiid is ready to be the man then look to ship Sanders out while his contract has only one or 2 years on it. I dont think they would take Parker since they feel like they got a steal in the draft last year in the Greek Freak. Next year they can look to draft a pg, sg, or a pf for the future since they will be in the lottery again.

OhCanada-ParticipantBrandon Knight, Giannis Antetokounmpo, John Henson and Joel Embiid going forward sounds great. Knight and Henson are still young and have alot of untapped potential especially Henson. Both are December babies Knight on the 2nd-1991, Henson on the 28th-1990 (23 and 24).
They also have the 1st pick of the 2nd round which is a valuable pick, and two other 2nds. Whoever falls out of the 1st round because teams dont want to give a gauranteed contract to them can fall right into Milwaukees lap at 31. So hypethetically if Hairston falls because teams are scared of his potential character issues or Adams falls due to his lack of athletisism whoch are both very possible Milwaukee has a great chance to address the SG position.
Ive never liked the Bucks but I must admit I am excited with the way they have built this upcoming roster and turning into a fan.

nladamsonParticipantGiven that Milwauke will probably be in the draft next year as well, why don’t they think about next years draft at the same time.
What I’m hearing is that next years draft is full of big man, ( don’t watch high school basketball, so merely repeating what I heard) ie power fowards and centers, will next years bigs be better than Parker? If so why don’t they draft Exum and then one of next years bigs. If not draft Parker, I do like a Parker/Sanders duo with Henson off the bench.
