Wolves offer Jonny Flynn in a package for Andre Iguodala
Everything I have read so far insists the Sixers want a big man with a short contract in return for Iggy. They have no use for another PG, Minny would really have to sweeten the deal to get this done. The Clips are still the front runners to get a deal done for Iggy before the draft.
So why not throw in Darko and draft Kanter witht he number 2?
Didnt say "good" just "vetran"..
if minny gets iggy it'll be via a 3 team trade or
My idea
Philly gets: Beasley, Pekovic and the #20
Minny gets: Iggy
Raptors gets: Flynn
Minny:
Rubio - Iggy - Johnson - Love - Kanter
Fidnour - Ellington - Webster - Randolph - Darko
Philly:
Holiday - Turner - Beasley - Brand - Davis
Williams - Meeks - 20th pick - Speights - Pekovic
Raptors:
Flynn - Derozen - Vessley - Johnson - Barg
Bayless - Weems - Johnson - Kleiza - Dorsey
why would philly want Flynn when they have Holiday and Lou will..Come on Minn, you gotta do better then that..
If the Jazz snag Kanter @4, moving Jefferson or Milsap would be likely. Iggy would be a perfect fit for the Jazz. Okur's been out for a year with an injury, but he'll be productive now that he's back. Al & Okur have 3 and 1 year left on their respective contracts. Think these guys would spark interest in Philly?
I would imagine the Wolves had to of had the #2 pick in this trade offer right?
Honestly, if I'm Philly, I don't want Flynn, but I'd rather have him than Monta. Someone pointed out, Monta's numbers are equivalent to what Lou's would be with more minutes. Adding a bloated contract like Monta's to get rid of Andre and add a duplicate of a player you already have... no real point. Flynn is at least cheap and offers a change of pace from Jrue, who could also play some 2 thanks to his D and improved shot.
So, no, I wouldn't do the deal as Philly, but it's closer than the Monta deal which got far more positive feedback.

Jordan Hamilton appears headed to Philly with the 16th pick, and sources said Monday the Timberwolves have offered point guard Jonny Flynn in a package deal for swingman Andre Iguodala. Philadelphia officials, however, have let it be known that they are not interested in a salary-dump deal for Iguodala and want an impact veteran in return.
