this team isnt that bad especially since Wall came back. They seem to be playing with a lot of energy and I really like what i’m seeing from John Wall lately. Currently, they’re projected at having the #1 pick in the draft, but I see them having a strong second half so I dont think they’re going to get a selection that high in the draft. I also do not see them getting a shot at Andrew Wiggins next year either. Of the teams at the bottom, Detroit and washington look like they actually have something to work with in the future.

It’s a damn shame the Wizards had Wall and Nene out early, if they were healthy for a full season I could see them competing for the 8th seed in the East easily. Unfortunately it’ll take a miracle for the Wizards to get into the playoffs this season, but with another draft pick and a healthy squad thet might not be in the lottery next season.

Am I the only one rooting for a reunion of CJ Leslie and Wall in the pros?

It will be a blessing in disguise if they’re able to draft a impact player to add to their core

Bobcats and hornets also have a strong foundation, Kemba and MKG look like future fixtures, NO has Anthony Davis, Eric Gordon, and Greivis Vasquez also

Wizards have a future, but they’re not going to get wiggins. Watch the spurs draft wiggins somehow next year. They have that kind of luck. The whole team goes down with freakish injuries and they finish with the worst record in the NBA, land the first pick and draft andrew wiggins.

Boston is slumping. And a lot of games left to be played. You never know how things will play out for that 8th seed.

I wonder how those scouts feel now. Bad timing on that Insider article.

It’s the only way I can explain why Kevin Seraphin is not playing at least 30 minutes every night and starting. If I owned the Wizards I would see him as a big part of their future as well as Beal and Wall. Every time he has got the minutes he has looked pretty good. He also has some nice size to play up front.

If the Wizards aren’t going to give him a shot, then I hope he gets aquired by a team who can see his true potential.

Oh hell no. Seraphin is not ready for 30+ mins a night. You must have only watched a sample size of him

yeah, i agree. He shoots too much and doesn’t know how to balance passing/scoring. Plus his defense is suspect at times.

He barely passes. It’s either hook shot, mid range jumper, FADEAWAY. They need to develop him more. He’s got talent but he’s still got a ways to go

Yeah I like Seraphin, but there’s no chance he’s ready for extended minutes, they don’t want to make the mistake they made with Blatche. Especially when you have Nene and Okafor (who is showing signs of life with Nene/Wall back). Bring him along slowly until he’s ready to dominate, but not until then.

If john wall keeps up his numbers, once he gets more minutes (around 36mins). He will be top 2 PG in the league THIS SEASON.

A pass first PG that actually makes his teammates better, unlike many other young PG’s in this league.

Also i think Nene and oakfor deserve a lot of credit as well, they have been really really solid.

Kinda a tough situation here……Wiz playing good, one would think they continue to play good, get a lower pick in a weak draft. What are their main needs?

getting okafor and ariza was the dumbest deal ive ever seen…instead of having Rashard Lewis come off the books they took on a bunch of money for players taking Seraphins spot and Singleton/Bookers spot…

Didnt like the Nene trade but he is a top 10 big in the NBA so its not horrible i guess…money-wise his contract is huge but he is good on a contending team if/when they get there

Seraphin does look good when he plays and with Okafor being an expiring deal next year then a roster spot should open up for him pretty soon. I agree that a fit Wall and Nene playing their required minutes does make a difference, this year with the draft I’d love them to get Bazz and have a 1-2-3 combo of Wall, Beal and Bazz. That could be a real run and gun team which a skilled big like Nene would support well.
