Winners of the Deadline
well i was anticipating a spectacular and a star studded Trade Deadline, i was expecting big names like Josh Smith, Pau Gasol, Paul Millsap and Al Jefferson. But there are some Winners at the Deadline, here are some of them
1. Houston - Lost: Marcus Morris, Toney Douglas, Cole Aldrich, Gained: Thomas Robinson, Tyler Honeycut and Francisco Garcia. Houston got a top 5 pick for some scrubs. what the hell is sacramento thinking when they traded thomas Robinson this early? at least give this dude a full 2 years to develop and Adjust in the league, he gives energy and hustle, plus character, now with the Loss of one team is the treasure of another, Thomas Robinson would give the Rockets 2nd chance Possession and block some shots, Asik cant Patrol the shaded area without some help. They can go big now, and use delfino as there sixth man, and Give Terrence Jones and Montiejunas some Minutes. I dont know abut Tyler Honeycutt, but i just dont see him staying to long in houston, they have Delfino,Parsons and Anderson, While garcia is a Nice addtion to the depth of the team, Once upon a time, he was considered a core that the Sacramento was building around, he can grab some steals, defend and shoot some threes, he has the potential and a change of scenery could help boost some of his ego,
2. Milwaukee - Lost: Tobias Harris, Beno Udrih, Doron Lamb, Gained: JJ Redick, Ish smith and Gustavo Ayon, this team gained a seasoned Shooter in Reddick, he can spot up find ways to get himself free from his defenders, he is a good back-up for Monta and Jennings, and would be producing 10-15 pts per night, a servicable point guard in ish smith, and a Mexican PF/C who would be an Efficient Back-up to Sanders and ilyasova, they could go small and quick in some instance and play Jennings, Monta, Redick, Dunleavy and Sanders Together, All in all, it was a nice addition to Milwaukee, also they have given up there project player tobias Harris
3. Boston - Soo basically got a talented player for free? let's see if Jordan Crawford could still take some ill advice shots when Pierce and Garnett would be all over him in the locker room, he'll be crying like big baby, But Joking aside, they traded a player with ACL and a bigman on the twilight of his career for a young and talented player?, well to me, that's a win situation, with the right tutelage from pierce and a character building Seminar with Garnett, Crawford would surely be a great player if he survives the Pierce and Garnett bootcamp
Patterson went to the Kings in the Houston trade aswell.
oh yeah, i forgot to put in the lost, but i wrote that there would be more time for montiejunas, terrence jones and thomas robinson to fight for minutes,
I really like what the Magic have done. They are in rebuilding process right now. They were able to get young talent that is not going to cost them a lot of money. We will actually see Harris and lamb play more along with all the young guys they already have. I just feel like they had a good day and are making the right steps toward rebuilding the team.
I really like the young talent the have with: Maurice Harkless, Tobias Harris, Doron Lamb, Andrew Nicholson, Nikola Vucevic
I'm not sure what they plan on doing this summer but I would try my best to part ways with Nelson and I believe that Hedo and Al are gone after this season anyway. With this years pick in the draft they should have a good pick maybe the first or second and draft the best player. The moves they made were good steps in the right direction.
Im not sure the Bucks are winner lol, they got a JJ reddick rental, who wont be playing alot of minutes bc between him monta and jennings, nobody can play the 3 so.. he's gonna be playing less minutes, and he's gonna walk in the summer.. What was the point exactly in giving two young players for him??
that's the beauty, if the experiment with redick in the roster doesn't work then they can let him walk, plus tobias harris isn't working up with them, its his third year and he is only playing garbage minutes, he needs a change of scenery,
LUC/Dunlevy/Reddick could play the 3, Luc is the defensive specialist
due to what their closest competition WASN'T able to accomplish (Bulls not getting Redick, Spurs not getting J.Smith, Clippers not getting Garnett, so on and so forth).
Thus, basically, nothing has really changed at all (which is a win for the "status quo").
Lol, why did you have to say a "Mexican" PF/C?
With Reddick being an expiring deal, I'm surprised that a real contender who needed a shooter didn't try to trade for him, but the Magic front office supposedly like the look of Tobias Harris and turned down offers of late first rounders to do this deal instead.
Jordan Crawford is a nice pick up by Boston and gives them even more bench depth plus the Boston locker room could well knock him into shape mentally and make him a better player.
Thomas Robinson to be dealt so soon is a shock and Houston could well have another piece in their rebuilding if he comes off.
