Here is a guy who easily could have been a Lottery pick if he came out after his Fr. season at Oklahoma, but decided to stay back to fine-tune his game I guess. I think out of all the prospects who were drafted last year, he was the one who got hurt the worse, by becoming a 2nd Rounder with Lottery pick type talent.

If he would have came out after his Fr. season would he have been a star player on a mediocre team that would have been in the Lottery in 2009?

Did he make one of the biggest mistakes ever by staying in school?

Will he make the Clippers roster next season or will he end up playing overseas?

    Is his biggest knock being a tweener……6’3”-6’4” 205 PG/SG?

*He was my sleeper pick to go in the 1st Round to have a stellar rookie year, but by him going to an already loaded Clippers roster, it looks like he will never get the chance to showcase his skills like I know he is capable of doing.

*Right now he averages 2.4PPG in 12 Games Played

He was one of my favorite prospects last year. He could still have a Flip Murray type career. I think he is on the right team, Baron Davis is not young, Eric Bledsoe still has a LONG WAY to go before he is even handed the keys to the starting PG spot, I think Warren if he works hard could surpass Bledsoe, he has the talent to do so.

"I think Warren if he works hard could surpass Bledsoe, he has the talent to do so."

Does he have the work ethic to become a full time starter?

I can’t see him playing the 2 because of Gordon & Foye.

Can he play the point in the league?

I know he was capable at Oklahoma, but the NBA is a whole new level of ball. He has a problem with getting his points first, rather then distribute the ball. He has to learn how to sacrafice his scoring for him to become a starter IMO.

Willie Warren needs to go to Europe. He can get game reps there and work his way onto a roster where he can get more PT down the road.

He’s 21. If he can produce overseas for 2-4 seasons, he has a chance to come back to the NBA at 25 and still have a solid career.

He don’t deserve to go overseas, he is built for the NBA. He just has to learn how to become a true PG & a distributor.

Never heard Clippers and loaded in the same sentence before. They aren’t loaded. He just isn’t that good. Nice athlete, good potential, but right now he cant contribute on a below average team.

If he would have come out after his freshman year, he would be just another draft bust – not a "star player on a mediocre team".

It was reported in March that Warren may not have a scholarship next season, because of his inability to get along with teammates and the fact he quit on his team that season. That’s probably a bigger knock than being a tweener.

He didn’t quit. He had issues with his coach, not to mention an injury, and the whole catching Mononucleosis incident. He outplayed Bledsoe by a mile in SPL. He’s got good chemistry with Blake, and isn’t playing right now while he learns more of the intangibles of the PG position. I really wouldn’t be surprised to see him eventually surpass Eric. Just my opinion, but he could be too mentally weak to handle waiting for his turn. Time will tell.

”Warren isn’t playing because he isn’t very good. He dribbles and tries to do too much, and doesn’t make the right passes. He doesn’t understand his role. He shouldn’t be in the rotation.”-IndyBBall

^^How does Willie Warren go from being a potential Lottery pick after his Fr. season to this above^^

Actually Wille still has good potential. He would have had a better sophomore year had he not hurt his foot and caught mono. Realistically, he could still pan out as he and Blake showed that they had very good chemistry together. Could potentially still have a very good career.
