will rose comeback with a better jumpshot?
Hopefully he gets a much better jump shot out of the ordeal.
The real question is: "Will Derrick Rose come back with his old quickness?"
We saw what happened to Shawn Livingston.
Shaun Livingston had a massive knee injury not simply a torn acl. " Livingston injured almost every part of his knee, tearing the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), the posterior cruciate ligament (PCL), and the lateral meniscus, badly spraining his medial collateral ligament (MCL), and dislocating his patella and his tibia-femoral joint" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shaun_Livingston & http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2782056)
The fact Livingston was able to even play in the NBA again is huge considering how bad this injury was.
Yea, the fact Livingston has been able to return to professional basketball is nothing short of a miracle.
You have to give his surgeons, physical therapists and him credit for the work they put in. Just a ***devastating*** knee injury. I just couldn't even imagine it.
what hitch?
Quick Tangent: I know Griffin is only supposed to be out for 10 weeks total, a month and a half now, but but a good month or so of his rehabb he won't be able to run either. Hopefully he'll work on improving the hitch in his jumper.
Derrick Rose will have to change his game. So he definitely needs to come back with a better jumper. I think the Bulls should write this season off and focus on 2013-2014.
When Amare had his microfracture knee surgery back in 05, all he could do for a while was just shoot and he came back with a good midrange game. I don't see why Rose can't do the same.
getting negged for posting this. seriously why the hating?
if this was nbanflguy/mcdunkin this same post would have like 40 points (not that i care). i get negs for everything, and like cheyenne lawton once said, here no1 believes the sh!t until it stinks. beal's last threat by shekiruboom is a perfect example, where people realized in the summer league that beal was an ALL-AROUND prospect in every sense of the word. how good he was at making the extra pass, rebounding and attacking the rim as opposed to fitting the ray allen shooting role. i stated that all thru-out last year and got mad negs.
i said once b4 i was never coming to post here, and i did because it was the best basketball source i had. well, i am recently waiting for my "posting approval" in another basketball website so i can finally GTFOH
Dude I am in tears of joy thanks to you remembering me. I think this was the first post I've seen that recognizes me in this forum. Thank you sir here's a +1 for you
how could i not remember that pretty face of yours?
honestly....drose is gnna be fine..... he cant be wild going to the basket as much anymore.... his work ethic is crazy..... once he fully comes back he will still be an elite athlete once he gets his feet wet again..... i think he comes back better than ever w/o a doubt

While Derrick Rose recovers from his knee surgery, there is a possibility of him vastly improving his shot.
‘‘He can only do three things,’’ said Tim Hardaway, who missed the 1993-94 season after suffering a similar injury. ‘‘He can dribble — not run and dribble, just dribble walking up and down the court; he can shoot a bunch of free throws; and he can shoot a bunch of set shots like he’s playing H-O-R-S-E every day, all day.
‘‘But that’s going to make him better. If you shoot 1,000 jump shots a day, 1,000 free throws a day, you’re going to get better. That made my shot better. It really made my jump shot and free-throw percentage better.’’
.
we all know this happens (amare's injury's made him the jump shooter he is today) and taking in consideration rose is a work horse i wouldn't be surprised if he can sustain most of his athleticism, this will actually help him improve in the long run.
