will nolan smith be a good pro ?
I think he is very under rated
I feel like Nolan has more in him than people realize for sure.
he will be a decent bench player maybe starting pg at some point. aaron brooks type
I think he'll be like George Hill very solid and under rated
i disagree, i think hes quite awful (for the nba) i say back up back up pg
awful for nba standards is more like anthony carter
I don't see any Aaron Brooks in him, I cant really think of a comparison at the moment. Anthony Carter actually sounds alright. I don't see him doing much in the NBA. Poor mans Mario Chalmers or something like that. Only 3 or 4 years in the league.
I think he reallu only has one thing to prove and that is he can make shots from deep. I think he compares bery favorably to andre miller.
I see him having Tony Delk type career in the NBA, he should have nice long NBA career as role player/bench scorer.
I actually thought of Tony Delk too thats weird. Then I thought of the 55 point game...But hey who knows its valid comparison.
i think he'll sneak into the late 1st round, but who knows this time last yr i said exact same thing about sherron collins and look how the prediction turned out, he will have a solid career tho
he has to prove he can handle the ball and start the offense,i dont think he will get that cahnce with the freshmen duke has coming in. Is he capable, maybe,he may have to wait til he goes pro to play point
i like the chalmers comparison but not a poor mans chalmers, when he wants to smith can score a lot
I don't think he should be compared to Chalmers, the Tony Delk comparison is valid though. Nolan Smith will be a good bench player at the pro level, he's a true teamplayer and scores in the flow of the game. He's a player every team would like on their team.
He won't start at the pg this yr for one reason. He is a undersized sg for duke. He sucks in my eyes.
Tony Delk not a bad comparison, but another one is Randy Foye or a better shooting Rodney Stuckey. He can play the point but is more of a 2 than a 1. He is a little small for the 2 though. I think he will be picked early second and be a backup pg/sg possibly fringe starter.
I think Mario Chalmers is the best comparison. Both are decent athletes, can make open shots, play on and off the ball, can defend on ball very well at their bests, and are overachievers.
nolan plays at his own pace..playing in the duke system has it advantages .its showing him how to play without the ball in his hands...and he's learning the intangibles of the game..which might help him become a better pro...
George Hill is the best comparison
Can you explain what the NC Pro-Am is? lol
Players in the NC Pro Am this summer:
Idk, he's not going to look that quick against NBA players thats for sure. His best asset will always be his outside shot I think.
I think his on-ball D will be the best thing he brings to the table. He's not as quick as George Hill
